Fundamental Requirements to find Deliverance LIVING THE FIVE CONDITIONS OF CHRISTIAN LIVING: To best facilitate Deliverance a person needs to fulfill the following criteria in their lives, or be willing to do what is necessary to meet the criteria eventually 1) be a baptized Christian 2) be an actively participating member of a local parish 3) have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ as evidenced by frequent participation in the Sacraments of Confession and Eucharist and by one s devotional and prayer life and practice of Christian charity and works 4) be living a spirit-filled and victorious Christ-life as best as one can 5) live in obedience to the Divine Will of God and His Church ACCEPTING THE FIVE ELEMENTS REQUIRED FOR DELIVERANCE For counseling to be effective five Elements are required of a person. A person must 1) be willing to submit to God (Rom 12:1,2) 2) be willing to confront and deal with sin (from all sources) (Eph 4:27) 3) be able to demonstrate Response-Ability = willingness and ability to Respond to God s plan and Divine Will 4) be willing to accept responsibility for oneself and for one s own healing 5) be willing and able* to cooperate and to participate in the counseling process, and to accept and to work on the recommendations and advice given in counseling process, which is designed to lead to deliverance. * by able to cooperate is meant to be free from any psychiatric, medical, or spiritual conditions or impairments that would make productive counseling difficult or impossible Preparing For Counseling Please accomplish each of the following items in preparation for the counseling process. These items are required: 1) Terminate all occultic friendships and associations. 2) Destroy all materials, books, games, videos, music, or artwork that is occultic or otherwise not proper or prudent for a Christian to possess (see the instructions in the section, Procedure to Destroy Occultic Material ) 3) Examine Yourself carefully. In order to find freedom you must honestly recognize and identify all problem areas in your life (areas of sin and areas of Introduction: 2 of 6
inattention to living the victorious Christ-Life). Freedom comes only by committing your life to Jesus Christ. (see the Examination.pdf for help in making this evaluation of self) 4) Always have Holy Water ready with you at each session. 5) When we pray during the sessions be mindful of any resistance or interference to saying the prayers that you feel or perceive and report these to your counsellor. 6) To prepare for the first session, please make a list on a sheet of paper of all the sins of your life and all the ways in which you have not lived up to being a good Christian living the victorious Christ-life. NO ONE WILL SEE THIS LIST. In the first session you will renounce all the things on the list, take back the ground that Satan stole from you due to those items on the list, and then burn the list in a Renunciation Ceremony. Also make a list of all non-christian activity you have been involved with over your life. See the Step 1 packet for a list of possible non-christian activities. Procedure to Destroy Occultic Material Keep in mind that this procedure is not magick. The primary power of the sacramentals used in this ritual (holy water and St. Benedict medal) is in your faith. The sacraments do have a secondary effect in that they are items that have been blessed and made holy by God. Demons do not like being around such things. In destroying the item so that it no longer resembles what it once was removes the attachment that it had for the demons, or the curse, or spell, other attachment. This is a spiritual principle. Even with blessed items like a Rosary, once the Rosary falls apart or is taken apart and no longer resembles a rosary, the blessing that was attached to the Rosary is no longer there. Burying the remains of the destroyed item in the ground, in the earth, symbolizes a cleansing from the good earth. Items that are biodegradable and will not pollute, such as ashes remaining after burning an item, may also be discarded in rushing water, like a river or stream. Do not discard these items in your sewer system or in the garbage. There can be a risk sometimes in doing this Ritual. For that reason the St. Padre Pio Center for Deliverance Counseling is willing to destroy the item for you. In addition, some items are useful to us for training purposes. Before sending an item to us please bless it with Holy Water with the Sign of the Cross, and recite the following prayer: Father in heaven, with the intercessions of Mary, most Virgin, St. Michael the Archangel, Sts. Benedict and Padre Pio, and St. Gabriel the Archangel, patron of Postal Services. Protect all who handle this package that none may be harmed or afflicted in any way as it goes to its destination. Amen Afterwards, follow the procedures in steps 2, 6, 7, 8, 9 below. 1) Bless the object with Holy Water. The Ritual 2) Pray the following prayer over the item (If married, pray this together with your spouse, if possible): Father in heaven, we ask you to bind and cast away from me (us) and my (our) entire family and all those who have come into contact with these materials any demonic entities that may have been attached to these materials. We plead the blood of Jesus over these materials and take back any ground the Evil One may have snatch from me (us) because of the presence of these materials in my (our) home. Strengthen, O Lord, the hedge of protection around me (each of us) and my (our) family. Bless me (us) and my (our) family, O Lord. Help is to love You more. I (We) also ask that you be with the person who gave me (us) these materials and free them from any bondage. Help them to understand Your ways and bless them. I (We) ask these things with the intercessions of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of God, blessed Apostles Peter and Paul, Blessed St. Michael the Archangel, Sts. Bruno, Basil, Benedict, and Padre Pio, my (our) Guardian Angel(s), and all the Saints and Angels of Heaven, and powerful in the Holy and Mighty name of your Son, Jesus Christ, whose name causes hell to tremble. Amen. 3) Then destroy the object so that it no longer resembles what it was. If burnable, then burn it, if it is glass, break it up into pieces, if it is metal break it in half if possible or otherwise damage it with a hammer perhaps, if wood, saw it in two, if some other material, rip it apart into small pieces, take it apart or damage it as best you can. If there is no way to destroy it, then tie a blessed palm branch on it, or a blessed St. Benedict on it. 4) If burying the object is possible, dig a hole in the ground and place the remains of the object in the hole. Sprinkle the remains with Holy Water once more. Then place a blessed St. Benedict medal on top of the remains if not already done as in Step 3. Fill in the hole burying the remains of the object. If the item is biodegradable and will not pollute, discarding it in a running river or stream may also be done. Introduction: 4 of 6
5) With the object buried (or discarded in a river or stream), bless yourself with Holy Water and the Sign of the Cross, say an Our Father, and three Hail Marys. 6) Pray the following prayer to break any curses that may have attached to you by possessing this object (if married, each spouse is to pray this prayer separately): In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, strengthened by the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of God, of Blessed Michael the Archangel, of the Blessed Apostles Peter and Paul, my Guardian Angel,and all the Saints, and powerful in the holy authority of His Precious and Wondrous Name, I ask, O Lord God, that you break and dissolve any and all curses, hexes, spells, seals, satanic vows and pacts, spiritual bondings and soul ties with satanic forces, evil wishes, evil desires, hereditary seals, snares, traps, lies, obstacles, deceptions, diversions, spiritual influences, and every dysfunction and disease from any source whatsoever, that have been placed upon me. Father in Heaven, please rebuke these evil spirits and their effects and cast them away from me so that I may continue to do Your Will and fulfill the mission you have for them to Your Greater Glory. Thank you, Father, for hearing my prayer. I praise Your Holy Name and worship You and Love You. Thank You for the wisdom and light of Your Holy Spirit. Thank You for enabling me through Your Holy Spirit to be aggressive against the works of the enemy. Thank You for Your Hope, that takes away discouragement; thank You for ongoing victory. "...in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us" (Romans 837). Father, I now place my enemies into your hands. Look with mercy upon them, and do not hold their sins against them. Anyone who has cursed me, I now bless. Anyone who has hurt me, I now forgive. For those who have persecuted me, I now pray Our Father... Hail Mary... Glory Be... O My Sweet Jesus, forgive us our sins and save us from the fires of Hell. Lead all souls to Heaven, and help especially those who are most in need of Thy Mercy. Holy Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle. Be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him, we humbly pray; and do thou, O prince of the heavenly hosts, by the power of God, thrust into hell Satan and all the other evil spirits who prowl through the world seeking the ruin of souls. Amen and Amen. 7) Renounce your involvement in these things occultic, and/or your ownership of these items and take back the ground Satan stole as a result of your sin or in even the mere ownership of the object (if married, each spouse is to pray this prayer separately): Introduction: 5 of 6
Dear Heavenly Father, strengthened by the intercession of the Immaculate Virgin Mary, Mother of God, of Blessed Michael the Archangel, of the Blessed Apostles Peter and Paul, Sts. Benedict and Padre Pio, my Guardian Angel, and all the Saints and Angels in Heaven, and powerful in the holy authority if His Name, I cancel all ground that evil spirits have gained in my life and in the lives of my family through my willful involvement in sin (OR, have gained by my ownership of ). I reclaim that ground and my life for Christ. Amen. 8) If sin was committed (in using the object) then confess that in the Sacrament. 9) At your earliest opportunity go to Mass and offer your life, family, and property to God. If you have any questions about this procedure, contact your counsellor. Foundational Prayers (to be said Daily during the Counseling Process) Lord Jesus Christ, I want to belong to you from now on. I want to be free from the dominion of darkness and the rule of Satan, I want to be free from all oppression and harassment from Satan. I want to enter into Your Kingdom and be part of your people. I will turn away from all sin, and I will avoid everything that leads me to, or brings me into the near occasion of sin and wrongdoing. I thank You, Lord, for your forgiveness of my all the sins; help me to sin no more and to always be pleasing in your sight. Come into my heart not only as my Savior and Lord, but also as my intimate Friend. I offer my life to you, and I promise to obey you as my Lord and Master. I ask you now Lord to deliver me from my afflictions from the Evil One. Free me from all oppression, harassments, attachments, and any curses and bondage from the Enemy. I ask you to fill me with your Holy Spirit and to help me to always remain in your Friendship that I may live the victorious Christ-Life to your greater glory. Amen. VIRGIN FULL OF GOODNESS, Mother of Mercy, I entrust to you my body and my soul, my thoughts and my actions, my life and my death. O my Queen, come to my aid and deliver me from the snares of the devil. Obtain for me the grace of loving my Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, with a true and perfect love, and after Him, O Mary, of loving you will all my heart and above all things. Amen.
