Sabbath School Ministry 9:40 A.M. Song Service Scripture Reading Prayer Adventist World Mission Story Testimony Closing Prayer 9:45 A.M. Church at Study Lesson Topic: The Holy Spirit and the Gifts of the Spirit Memory Text: "There are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. There are differences of ministries, but the same Lord. And there are diversities of activities, but it is the same God who works all in al" (1 Corinthians 12:4-6, NKJV) Thought to Pounder: This week we studied the Holy Spirit as the Sovereign Giver of God's remarkable gifts and look at the difference between the fruit of the Spirit and the gifts of the Spirit. No one is required to manifest a gift of the Spirit, but everyone should manifest the fruit of the Spirit. Spiritual gifts do not necessarily testify to spirituality, but the fruit of the Spirit does. While there is only one fruit, there are many gifts. The gifts of the Spirit are given so that we can serve others and build up the body of Christ, His church. These gifts are not given for our own pleasure and glory. They are bestowed to further the cause of God. **** Classes/Programs are also held for our young people: Beginners (0-4); Kindergarten (Pre-School); Primary (Grade School); Youth (High School). For directions to the various classes please see one of our Greeters. **** Purpose: To make Disciples Core Values: Prayer, Preparing People, and Praise Mission Statement: To welcome with Love and minister to our families, our church, and our community. Praise Service Sabbath, February 25, 2017 Praise & Worship Theme: Worship Introit: Lift Every Voice By James Weldon Johnson Lift every voice and sing, till earth and heaven ring, Ring with the harmonies of liberty; Let our rejoicing rise, high as the listening skies Let it resound loud as the rolling sea. Sing a song full of the hope that the dark past has taught us, Sing a song full of the hope that the present has brought us; Facing the rising sun of our new day begun, Let us march on till victory is won. Stony the road we trod, Bitter the chastening rod, Felt in the days when hope unborn had died; Yet with a steady beat, Have not our weary feet Come to the place for which our fathers sighed? We have come over a way that with tears have been watered, Out from the gloomy past, Till now we stand at last Where the white gleam of our bright star is cast. Invocation God of our weary years, God of our silent tears, Thou who has brought us thus far on the way; Thou who has by Thy might Led us into the light, Keep us forever in the path, we pray. Lest our feet stray from the places, Our God, where we met Thee; Lest, our hearts drunk with the wine of the world, we forget Thee; Shadowed beneath Thy hand, May we forever stand. True to our GOD, True to our native land. (Over)
