Let s share with others and practice selfless giving by donating one food item for each of the 40 days of Lent, February 18 to March 29. This will help the Food Cupboard in its fight against hunger in our community and help each of us establish a new pattern of giving which will give real life and joy to Lent. You ll note that this year we are asking for more than just cans. We are asking you to make a real sacrifice by donating our most needed items: Tuna, Cereal, Jelly, Pancake Mix, Peanut Butter, Pancake Syrup, Pasta, Canned Pasta, Spaghetti Sauce, Crackers, Pork & Beans, Hamburger Helper, Tuna Helper, Tea/Coffee, Rice-A-Roni, Cake/ Brownie Mix, Hot Chocolate, Mac & Cheese, Jello Mix, Pudding Mix 40 Foods for 40 Days will be a success when all members of the parish commit to donating 40 items of food that is just one item a day, just two of each of the above listed items and it s most certainly in keeping with the spirit of Lenten sacrifice. Donations can be brought in each weekend and placed on the Food cupboard table. You do not have to bring in all 40 items at the same time. 2014-2015 Catholic Ministries Appeal CMA update as of March 3 Goal $61,390.00 Pledged $49,243 (80% of our goal) Thank you to those who have given to this year s appeal.
