SCHOOL NEWS Merry Christmas and A Very Happy New Year to our Saint Peter School Family Enjoy your Christmas Break and we will see you in 2019!

December, 2018 Dear Saint Peter School Families, May you experience all the wonder of the Advent season! Here at school, we are keeping this beautiful season of Advent holy by preparing our minds and hearts for the coming of Jesus. Each Monday we join together for an Advent Prayer Service and light the candles of the Advent Wreath as we wait in joyful anticipation of Jesus birth. Our students have also received the Sacrament of Reconciliation to become closer to God during this wonderful season of preparation. As always, our dedication to service helps those in need and fills our spirits with the wonders of God s love. This year, thanks to your generosity, we were able to help so many families in need from St. Mary s in Wilmington, North Carolina after the devastating hurricane. Because of you, they will see the goodness of others and will experience the gifts of love and kindness. As we reflect on the miracle of Christmas, I hope that you will encounter the peace of Christ and that you will find the time to treasure moments with family and friends. During this wondrous season, may you experience peace and joy, celebrate traditions, and create cherished memories. Blessings to you and your family this holiday season, and thank you for your dedication to Saint Peter School, your generosity of spirit, and for supporting our mission to educate these children, our most precious gifts, in the ways of our Lord, Jesus Christ. Peace and Blessings, Mrs. Tracey Kobrin

December, 2018 Dear St. Peter Families, Our traditional Christmas pageant, entitled this year, HAPPY 95 YEARS, SAINT PETER SCHOOL, will be held on December 19th at 7:00 p.m. Your child needs to be in the cafeteria no earlier than 6:30 p.m. or later than 6:45 p.m. Please drop off your child at the cafeteria door in the gym. Parents are not allowed in the cafeteria. Please take your child s coat with you to your seat (since the children will not be returning to the cafeteria). We ask that the children wear Christmas colors (no jeans, sweat suits or sneakers). Some students will be assigned a costume, as directed by your child s teacher. All children will remain in their seats until the conclusion of the pageant. At the conclusion of the pageant, please come to their area in the gym to pick them up. This will be a wonderful evening for all to be together and to enjoy the beauty of the children s voices and the company of each other. As always, the pageant will conclude with our beautiful nativity scene. All the students are expected to participate in the pageant. Thank you for all your cooperation. We are looking forward to this music filled Christmas get together.

Please wear your ugliest sweater, but, if not possible, wear red or green!

GREEN APRON CAFÉ NEWS

KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS NEWS PLEASE JOIN US FOR AN INFORMATIONAL MEN S SPIRITUAL GROUP MEETING MONDAY JAN 7, 7PM LOWER KOLBE HALL I have received interest in starting a Men s spiritual group at St Peter s Parish. Toward this objective I am organizing a meeting to: Determine the interest level Discuss the context and objectives of the group Spiritual Advisor -will ask one of the St Peter s Friars to attend Frequency of meetings Other thoughts and objectives brought forth by the attendees The main objective of the group will be to promote spiritual growth as nothing helps men grow as disciples of Jesus Christ like meeting with other Catholic men for friendship, learning, and spiritual support. God is moving in great ways among men in St Peters - be part of it. Catholic men need to fellowship with other good Catholic men to raise up one another, support one another and to learn from one another. Iron is sharpened by iron; one person sharpens another. ~Proverbs 27:17 Please respond to Dominick Chirichella, 732-330-6926, dchirichella@emi.org if you plan on attending. I hope to see you at the meeting! The venue will be casual and informal, we will have light refreshments.
