We meet from 5-5:30 pm every Monday, except the 4 th Monday of the month. On that day, we meet at 7:00pm for Prayer and Healing Service. My number is 913-709-7531. (We thank Uli Poetter for sharing her talent of this dish). Cost is $6 per person with the maximum of $20.00 per family. The fun begins after dinner -- with a special entertainment act -- a magician! Brad Linn, a KC North Police Officer for 16 years and member of Antioch Baptist Church will delight "kids" of all ages. Mr. Linn shares his talents and delights audiences thru libraries, churches, scouting events and festivals. You may sign-up at the Welcome Table beginning this Sunday. Checks may be made payable to Lighthouse Church with the memo stating "Valentine Dinner". ANNUAL CONGREGATIONAL MEETING & LUNCH Sunday, January 28th 11:30am (following worship) Lunch served by Haiti Women s Missions Team. (All donations will go to the Haiti Missions Trip.) The Congregation of the Lighthouse Presbyterian Church is called for its Annual Meeting following worship on Sunday, January 28, 2018. THE LIGHTHOUSE BEACON Page 2 CELEBRATE RECOVERY Celebrate Recovery is a support ministry for anyone who has hurts, habits and hang-ups and would like instruction, direction, fellowship and encouragement to overcome them through the power of Christ. Celebrate Recovery meets every Thursday evening: 6:30-8:30 pm in the worship area with a fellowship time beginning at 6:00 pm. Child care is provided. Church Sanctuary Lunch and childcare available. Trip Details When: June 22-July 1, 2018 Where: Wind River Reservation, Wyoming Who: Anyone age 7 or older What we will be doing: The Native Americans have often been called the forsaken and forgotten people. Yet God has not forgotten them. We will help them learn about Christ while doing a building project and running a small kids day camp. We have flexibility to make this trip unique. Cost: $400 a person plus transportation and lodging during travel to and from Wyoming. The cost covers food, lodging, building supplies and food supplies for the kids camp. The next Beacon newsletter will be published on Thursday, February 1st, 2018. Deadline for all articles will be Friday, January 26th. Thank you in advance for your help. We will have lunch together, then break into three groups, as listed above. You will receive basic information, and will also meet some other participants and leaders relative to the trip that interests you. Childcare will be available. Come spend an afternoon sorting and packing food at the Harvesters food bank. This is a great opportunity to make a big difference in the lives of hungry individuals. Harvesters could not provide the 37 million meals that it does annually without the help of volunteers just like you.
