Since there are several Churches of God in Carlisle, our church will be distinguished by the use of the word or symbol FIRST (1st), i.e. Carlisle First Church of God or First Church of God, Carlisle. We will also post it on our Web site at www.carlislecog.org. More importantly, the Council has developed a system whereby we will endeavor to telephone each family or person when Sunday Morning services are cancelled. But no system is perfect! When in doubt, call a member of the Council before attempting to drive to church in snowy or icy conditions. We tend to cancel Wednesday evening services more frequently because snow-covered roads and slippery highways are much more treacherous to drive on at night. If the Carlisle School District cancels classes on a Wednesday or dismisses early on a Wednesday because of weather conditions, all Family Night Services will be automatically cancelled. Otherwise, the decision to cancel Family Night services will be made no later than 4:45 p.m. We will post cancellations on the Web site and on the aforementioned TV stations. If you have any questions, call either the Pastor, the Music Director, the EDGE Leaders, or the BLAST Leaders. Regardless of our decision, please use your best judgment concerning your safety when weather conditions are deteriorating. If you have reservations about driving, it may be advisable to stay home that morning or that night..
