virtuouswoman World Harvest Church Women s Ministry The Virtuous Women of our church are on fire for God, dedicated to serving one another in love, serving the members of our church and carrying the message of the local church to the world. Our small group ministries for women foster spiritual growth and great friendships! We invite you to consider, choose, connect and commit to the planned activities and help us to spread the love that God has placed inside each of us. Consider God has a purpose and a plan for each one of us. His first purpose for our lives is spiritual rebirth through His Son, Jesus. Then His desire is for us to mature in our Christian walk. Virtuous Women s Ministry provides opportunities for women in all phases of life and in all stages of Christian maturity to be transformed by Bible study interaction with other Christian women and through service. A Woman s Touch touches of welcome, touches of friendship Share with God s people who are in need. Practice hospitality. Romans 12:13 Coordinators: Carolyn Driggers, JoAnn Rochelli, and Janet Gibson A Woman s Touch welcomes each woman that is new to World Harvest Church and introduces her to the Women s Ministry in a personal way. New church members receive touches of friendship by a woman who can share information, encouragement, ministry opportunities, and love. Within three to four weeks after a woman becomes a new member, she should receive four touches : A friendly note of welcome A telephone call to answer any questions A visit to share information about the church and about Ministries for women, and A small welcome gift from the Women s Ministry God may be calling you to touch other women who join the church family at World Harvest Church and to help them get established in the lifestyle of the church. WOMEN COME OUT ON THE FOURTH SUNDAY OF EACH MONTH CORPORATE PRAYER..6:30 PM.in the sanctuary This becomes a special place where God's people come together to intercede in the vital work of the kingdom: For releasing the power of God in the church and its leadership Reclaiming the lost to salvation and restoring broken lives Lifting up the corporate experience of worship Increasing the power and effectiveness of the spoken Word in worship Supporting the work of God around the world Bearing the burdens of the hurting For protection and for battling the powers of darkness Increased passion for the lost in community Prayers for the mission field and missionaries Prayers for the military, government and local leadership. Proverbs 31: Reset Women s Conference time away from the world and in the Word of God Come with me by yourselves to a quiet place and get some rest. Mark 6:31b Coordinator: Jackie Parker, Regine Thomas and Meliza Fender The ministry goal of our annual retreat is to provide opportunity for spiritual growth and maturity. And to provide much needed moments of mental, physical and spiritual rest and renewal. July 20-21, 2012 Hotel Location: TBD Georgia Registration starts May 6 In this retreat-setting, women will seek God and His Word for the divine plan they need for their lives. Daily teaching, praise & worship, and devotional activities have been designed to encourage and equip participants to answer God s call to action. During this conference, participants will learn: How to identify perspectives and patterns that short-circuit the Holy Spirit How to identify mindsets and actions that undermine God s plan How to recognize when God is calling for realignment How to utilize understanding of God s purpose to strengthen your position How to employ strategies to overcome the enemy s attacks World Harvest Church Virtuous Women s Ministry 5
Nourish Each Other Spiritually...seeking God s wisdom for our daily living Book Study Lioness Arising By Lisa Bevere Begins May 20-July 15, 2012 @ 11 am (8 Sessions) Coordinators: Renee Blackwell and Meliza Fender In this study participants will learn what helped Lisa Bevere let go of her obsession to manage and manipulate everything around her. You will take a journey from a lifestyle of fear and disorder to a haven of rest and peace under God's protective wings. New Mothers Ministry supporting growing families in the name of Jesus For you created my innermost being, you knit me together in my mother s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. Psalm 139: 13 14 Coordinator: Jacquise Hudson Selena Gaffney If you are expecting a baby by birth or adoption, let us know. We want to celebrate with you! PRAYER WEAVERS: Please register with expected delivery date. We will begin knitting booties for the little one s feet. The knitters also pray for his/her walk in the Lord. WELCOME GIFT: Upon notification of delivery, you will receive a card of congratulations that can be exchanged for a Welcome Baby gift. BAPTISM LUNCHEON: After the babies baptism we will host a luncheon twice a year for new mothers to celebrate God s gift of new life. Women s Mission Trip to Honduras (Gammon s) Cost is $ 1500 Date: September 30 October 7, 2012 Coordinator: Linda Smith and Flossie Russell The Women s Mission Trip is going to catapult women into the fullness of who God has called them to be while serving others less fortune than themselves. 2. Women s 5 Day Cruise (Nassau, Freeport, and Half Moon Cay) Cost is $900 Date: Postponed till 2013 Coordinator: Maxine Wright and Flossie Russell The cruise will feature dynamic Morning Prayer, anointed praise and worship, followed by life changing ministry sessions to prepare you to serve those in need in Nassau.
