LEARNING TAKE HOME SHEET Scripture focus: Luke 7:36-50 Scripture message: Sin Boldly Memory verse: Luke 7:39 The Pharisee thought to himself, If this man were a prophet, he would know what kind of a woman is touching him. He would know that she is a sinner. Questions for the Journey 1) Why does Jesus always seem to be hanging out with the wild ones? 2) How does the church live out the attitude of the Pharisee in the story? 3) How is respectability a curse in our society? Prayer for the week God of the marginalized, grant us the courage, the depth, and the willingness we need to truly follow Jesus, so that we too might welcome the oppressed, the rule breakers, and the rejected into our homes. Amen. Next week: United Methodist Men s Sunday MINISTERS AND STAFF OF FUMC Ministers All God s People Pastor Margaret A.
