JULIO C. RUIBAL MINISTRIES NOVEMBER 2017 VOLUME 39 ISSUE 11 A TIME OF REFRESHING... In the midst of much activity in the school and church, the Lord provided a week away for family vacation. Our family from three countries and two continents met in Florida to enjoy each other and give us many wonderful family memories. And he said, the things which are impossible with men are possible with God. Luke 18:27 Just two weeks later I went with María, my faithful coworker in the church, to the COICOM (Latin American Christian Communicators) congress in Miami. We celebrated COICOM s 25th anniversary, 20 of which I served on the Directory Board. It was such a blessing to be with some of the founders as well as those who have continued on with the vision. Some of the outstanding speakers for me were Steve Douglas, the head of Campus Crusade for Christ after Bill Bright went to be with the Lord, Danilo Montero, worship leader and pastor, Alberto Motessi, friend and evangelist, and COICOM s president, Arnold Enns. A TIME OF CHALLENGE... I arrived home to the challenging time Colombia is going through due to the Peace Process, something that only a sovereign move of God can change. A week ago the city s Christian leadership called pastors and leaders to prayer from 4 AM to 6 AM and it was really well attended. This week they are repeating the call to prayer. In the meantime, prayer meetings are springing up throughout the city and in the churches. We appreciate your adding Colombia to your prayer list it is a serious and important time that will mark the history of this lovely nation. As I mentioned in past newsletters, we are on a reset for writing the parameters of how our vision for the school is to work out. It is an enormous job, but with the help of Hernán Lopéz from ACSI (Association of Christian Schools International) we are making progress. Last Saturday morning we had a time of prayer and fasting for the school with some of the parents, teachers, administrative staff, and a student representative the Lord met us in a very special way. In the afternoon we had a The family

We are so thankful for all of you who are faithfully standing with us in prayer and your financial gifts. At this time of outstanding need, an end of the year contribution would be a wonderful blessing for us. Please ask the Lord how you can help. May the Lord richly bless you. We are very encouraged as we see the Lord propelling us forward in the vision He has given us for education. A TIME FOR WORKING TOGETHER... We are going through a challenging time three days ago the ceiling of our administration office collapsed. The Lord protected us and no one was hurt, nor were any computers damaged. But now we have to put in a new ceiling, fix and paint the walls, etc., costing $2,000, funds we just don t have.
