As God leads the prospective teacher, He also ministers to those in the school to recruit, hire and retain personnel. Grace Cascade Christian Schools is one of Oregon s largest Christian schools, with 700+ students in Preschool through 12 th grade and over 100 staff members. Grace Cascade Christian Schools is accredited with the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) and AdvancED, a regional accreditation organization recognized by the Oregon Department of Education. We require our teaching staff to: Hold a valid Oregon teaching credential and/or administrative licensure Hold an ACSI Educator Certificate (or be willing to work toward) Successfully pass background screening checks Our base salary is payable over 12 months. Grace Cascade Christian Schools STATEMENT OF FAITH We believe that the Bible is the inerrant, inspired Word of God and that it is our final authority in matters of faith and practice. (Deuteronomy 12:32; II Timothy 3:16-17; II Peter 1:21) We believe in the eternally existing Triune God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit. (Matthew 28:19; John 15:26) We believe in the Deity of Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, and in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, where He now acts as Mediator and Advocate. (John 1:1, 8:58; I Corinthians 8:6; Philippians 2:5-6) We believe in the personal imminent return of the Lord Jesus Christ for His own. We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; they that are saved unto the resurrection of life and they that are lost unto the resurrection of damnation. LIFESTYLE STATEMENT Grace Cascade Christian Schools is a religious, nonprofit organization representing Jesus Christ throughout the local community. Grace Cascade Christian Schools requires its employees to be born-again Christians, manifesting by precept and example the highest Christian virtue and personal decorum, serving as a Christian role model, both in and out of school to pupils, and as an example to parents and fellow faculty members in discernment, dignity, respect, and Christian living (Rom. 10:9 10, 1 Tim. 4:12, Luke 6:40). A Christian lifestyle should reflect the Biblical perspective of integrity, appropriate personal and family relationships, business conduct, and moral behavior. This includes the development of the Fruit of the Spirit in their life (Galatians 5:22-23). Employees will strive to conduct themselves in a way that will not raise questions regarding their Christian testimonies, while using discretion in areas of personal liberty with a mind to encourage the Christian walk of others. (Colossians 3:17; Titus 2:7-8; 1 Thessalonians 2:10; 1 Thessalonians 5:18, 22-23, and James 3:17-18, 1 Cor. 10:23 11:1, I Cor. 13) An employee is expected to demonstrate a teachable spirit, an ability to share love for others, a willingness to live contentedly under authority, and a commitment to follow the Matthew 18 principle when an issue arises with fellow employees or management. The Grace Cascade Christian Schools Statement of Faith expects employees to maintain a lifestyle based on biblical standards of moral conduct. Moral misconduct, which violates the bona fide occupational qualification for employees to be Christian role models, includes, but is not limited to, promiscuity and homosexual behavior, sexual harassment, use or viewing of pornographic material or websites, or sexual abuse or improprieties toward minors as defined by Scripture and federal or state law. Employees also agree that the unique roles of the male and female are clearly defined in Scripture, that biblical marriage is limited to a covenant relationship between a man and a woman, and that Romans 1:24-32 condemns the homosexual lifestyle.
