WESLEYAN VILLAGE Don Maness President Gladys VanDonkelaar Director of Support Services Gloria Berridge Treasurer Carol Weller Assistant to the Treasurer Sharon Dickenson Accounting Clerk Randall Schenkel Event Coordinator Kellie Hoch Property Manager Betty Taber Administrative Assistant Caroline Staley Receptionist Claude Hills Director of Buildings and Grounds Wesleyan Village is a Christian community for senior adults where residents can live in a safe, clean, wholesome and attractive environment that contributes to their spiritual, physical, emotional, and relational wellbeing. Christmas 2016 is past and now we are into the year of 2017 and I trust you will have a Happy New Year full of joy and blessings. January will witness the arrival of additional winter residents which will continue to increase our numbers. Our January Camp Meeting is a few days away and this will be an opportunity for our community to grow in God s grace. The Camp Meeting affords each of us the opportunity for revival in our own hearts. Please be in prayer for our Camp Meeting workers, speakers Norman Wilson and Gil Stieglitz and our worship leader Brian McSee. What does 2017 hold for the Wesleyan Village? Will we be able to attract additional residents to the village? Will new residential homes be built in the village? Will the office on the Cortez property be completed? Will the platting for the Missionary Row homes be completed this year? Will renovations take place in the current office area to house the library and a computer lab? What residents may leave the Wesleyan Village? According to a few village sources approximately 50 persons leave the Wesleyan Village, each year, for a variety of reasons; some pass away, some move to living assisted homes, some move to be closer to family and a few move from the village for other personal reasons. I certainly don t have all the answers to all of the above questions but I do know that God has blessed the Wesleyan Village in the past and I strongly believe he will continue to bless us in our future. These are only some of the questions which will need to be addressed in 2017. From 1 Chronicles 4:9: Jabez cried out to the God of Israel, Oh that you would bless me and enlarge my territory! Let your hand be with me and keep me from harm so that I will be free from pain. And God granted his request. As we move into 201 7you can ask God, through your prayers, to bless you, your family and the Wesleyan Village. I m sure you have a much longer prayer list than the three suggestions I have made. However, I encourage you to pray the prayer of Jabez. For 2017 may, The lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face shine upon you and be gracious to you; the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace. (Numbers 6:24-26) May you have a blessed New Year
