Siding is on the outside, windows are in, drywalling has started on the inside. Paint colors have been picked out, flooring chosen and chairs for the Sanctuary have been ordered. We are working on the rest of the furniture for the building. The coffee pot has been ordered! This is an exciting and fast-paced time. Continued on page 3

We will be joining Grace Lutheran and the Quaker Congregation for a joint pot luck. Bring your favorite food and yes, there are ovens available. Join us for this chance at fellowship with those we share the building with. We will collect a special offering for the Stand in the Light Memory Choir on Easter Sunday, April 1. Our special offering to the Community Table will be taken on May 6. The Community Table is struggling to be able to provide daily meals. For many of those who come, this is their only meal of the day. Please don t forget our homeless friends. As always the Street Ministry can use money or gas cards. Check with Pastor Mike for other needs for our street ministry. Prayer Ministry In April, we are praying for these individuals/families: Michael (Alba) Green, Cindy (Jerry) Halfen, Kathryn Hamilton, Harlan & Charlene Hartwich, Gordy & Audrey Heimstead, Sadie (Jacob) Hulke 2

By around August 1, we will start having expenses we haven t had for awhile: electricity, cleaning lady, water, higher property insurance, etc. We are asking you to make sure your pledges are up to date, or if you haven t turned one in for this year, please do. To date, we only have received 18 pledges. That isn t very many! The total of these pledges is $46,745. Folks, that s not going to make it! We need everyone s help to maintain the vibrant ministry of Plymouth Church by giving generously and regularly so that we can meet our monthly obligations now and for years to come in our brand new church home. Thank you in advance for your generosity, The Leadership Team Thank you! This email comes from the people served by Feed My People Food Bank, its board of directors and staff, and the Empty Bowls committee members: Thank you for volunteering on Thursday, March 1 at the 2018 Empty Bowls event benefitting Feed My People. This event would/could not have been as successful as it was without the 230 volunteers who contributed. We served 2,900 people a 6% increase over last year. Those of you who worked the lunch shift definitely saw the increase! We raised over $98,000 a 20% increase over last year. You all worked so hard to make this happen. Again, much thanks. We ll see you on Thursday, March 7, 2019! Don t forget SCRIP cards! We have SCRIP cards for Mega Holiday, Festival, Kwik Trip, Menard s, Shopko, Target, and Walmart on hand each week as well as the option to order pre-paid cards from many other businesses. It is a painless, cost-free fund raiser for our church! The office will be closed Friday, April 13 so that I can attend a family event. 3

Dear friends and family of Plymouth, Earlier this month, you helped Feed My People raise $98,000 at their Empty Bowl fundraiser! Thank you to those who volunteered and those of you who went there to eat. Every year this fundraiser grows in number of attendees and amount of money raised. See a thank you from them elsewhere in the newsletter. On April 21, the Northwest Association of the Wisconsin Conference United Church of Christ will gather for its annual meeting at First Congregational here in Eau Claire from 9:30 A.M to 3:30 P.M. Cindy Halfen is our delegate, and she also served on the Division on Church in the World of the Association, and I will be there as well. We can send only one voting delegate, but all members are welcome to attend part or all of the meeting. Since it s in Eau Claire this year, this is a good opportunity to see that larger church in action. If you d like to come as a visitor, please let me know. Registration is only $10 if you d like to include lunch, and free if you don t eat. Construction on our new building is cruising along at a wonderful pace! Siding is on; the brickwork along the bottom outside is being finished; the inside walls are all framed and insulated and some are drywalled; the huge front doors and windows and the equally huge back door and windows are in and look magnificent the views are splendid! (See Photo Gallery on page 6) Your leadership team has spent a lot of dedicated and faithful hours in the past month making many, many choices on materials and colors for interior and exterior parts of the building and have also been working hard with furniture vendors to find chairs, tables, and office furniture. The progress is incredibly exciting. I visit the site every few days, and am always impressed with how much has been done and how well it has been done. But I am even more impressed to see how beautiful the building will be. It s also exciting to know that we re only a few months away! This all seemed sooooo far away when we started back in September 16 after the fire. Now it s very close! We only have five months left at Grace Lutheran before we move into our new building and return to the Westridge Neighborhood. On April 15 we will have a potluck meal with the people of Grace Lutheran and the Friends (Quakers) meeting after worship. We ll have a shortened worship service so we all finish about the same time and then join our fellow congregations for lunch on the first floor with a time of table fellowship, which will then be followed by a presentation by JONAH on childhood poverty in Wisconsin. Please plan to join us for lunch that day! Easter blessings to you all, 4

Leadership Team meeting minutes continued... New Business continued: Rob Jaenke brought up information about an unused Music Account at Wells Fargo with a balance of approximately $1,100. We can either activate or close this account. Larry Kleist moved to close this account with Rob Jaenke being authorized to do this. Deb Zehms seconded. Motion passed. We also spent quite a bit of time talking about furniture for our new building. We will order chairs as soon as possible as that order takes the longest to fill. We will keep working on this project. Suggestions accepted. Meeting adjourned at 8:30 P.M. Next meeting is April 9, 2018. Respectfully submitted, Louise Partlow Photo Gallery... Our new front door! Windows overlooking the back patio. 6
