Coat of Arms of The Most Reverend Edward C. Malesic, J.C.L. Bishop of Greensburg Faith Formation Present and Future Directions With the sad and untimely death of Kathi Probo we find ourselves in the middle of our Faith Formation year as well as the Lenten Season. In order to respond to the short term immediate needs of those participating in Faith Formation as well as those preparing for Sacraments at the Cathedral this Spring, we have made the following changes. Until we are able to hire a permanent replacement for Kathi Probo the following staff people will take responsibility for the duties that fell under her position. Effective immediately, Tammi Rzempoluch will take over as Interim Director of Faith Formation Classes and be the primary contact for all First Holy Communion preparation. Katie Zuzik will be the coordinator for Baptism Preparation and all matters related to the Sacrament of Baptism. Fr. Matthew Morelli will work with the RCIA team and be the primary contact for all RCIA questions and concerns. Msgr. Riffle and Deacon Bill will be the primary contact for all matters related to the Sacrament of Marriage. All of these people can be reached by calling the parish at 724-834-3710. If you have a question that does not fall under any of these specific headings please call the parish office and you will be directed to the person responsible for your concern. It is our fervent hope that we can have a full time person on board in the position of Faith Formation Director by July 1, 2018. We will be seeking applicants for this position in the near future. Thanks to all of these people who have stepped up to cover these important areas of our ongoing parish ministry. Last Sunday, our Parish celebrated the Rite of Sending and the Rite of Election for our Catechumens as they were numbered among God s Elect as they prepare for Baptism. Please pray throughout the Lenten Season for these Elect as they prepare to enter the Catholic Church at the Easter Vigil. Please keep these Elect in your prayers: Dale Detrick, Bella DeRubeis, Ashley Sarokon, Mary Ann Powers-Sherrin and Nicholas Sherrin. Congratulations to Webelos Scouts Quinn Kuczynski and Paul Buczynski on the successful completion of the requirements for the Parvuli Dei (Child of God) Religious Emblem recognition. Over the last several months, both Scouts have grown in their awareness as member s of their own families, their parish family, and as a member of the Family of God. Both Scouts are members of Pack 414, Greensburg. Thank you to Paul and Quinn s families for helping them along their journeys in Faith and in Scouting. Father Matthew presented the emblems to Paul and Quinn at the 11:30 Mass on February 18. All youth in Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, and American Heritage Girls can earn religious emblems as they learn about our faith more deeply. Adult volunteers are also needed to help facilitate the emblems program and other activities for Catholic Scouts. If you are interested in either, please contact Fr. Matthew. A Note from Fr. Matthew: Please remember me in your prayers this weekend and in the coming week. Fr. Dan Ulishney and I are currently in Rome on a study trip with 15 other students from the Catholic University of America School of Canon Law. We will be visiting many of the Roman Dicastery offices that make up our Church government in the Vatican, and we will speak with some of the priests and bishops who work there. Please be assured of my prayers for you during my journey. Let us continue to pray for each other! ~Fr. Matthew This weekend we heard a special message from Msgr. Riffle about the 2018 Diocesan Lenten Appeal (DLA). Thank you to all who took the opportunity to make their commitment at Mass this weekend. If you were unable to make your DLA commitment at Mass this weekend, please consider making it this coming week. You may do so by mailing your card to the church or by dropping off your pledge card at the Parish Office or by completing your pledge card and placing it in the offertory basket next weekend at Mass. You may also go online to DLA.dioceseofgreensburg.org to make your pledge through the diocese. Please keep in mind that it is important that you use the envelope/pledge card that you received in the mail for your DLA contribution since it contains your personal Diocesan identification number. However, if you did not receive your envelope/pledge card in the mail, please pick up one in the pew or in the church vestibule and place it in next weekend s collection basket. Your identification number will be placed on the envelope when it is processed.

Hear how St. Dominic blessed those around him with his numerous acts of charity and commitment to God. Did Jesus Really Rise From the Dead?
