3 Should I Stay Or Should I Go? Brethren, The Lodge Room is calling and needs you on the sidelines and in the chairs. I hope your summer was enjoyable and your Masonry stayed true. I trust your summer officers rehearsals prepared you for your future endeavors as you advance within the halls of our fraternity. Too often many of us are lulled into the comfort of our easy chairs and our Lodges are left wanting. Can we really afford to miss the brotherly love and affection when we do not join together as Brethren? I know we cannot. The shared strength and support we gain from being together carries us through the daily toils we face when among the profane. This is why we joined this Great Brotherhood, seeking fellowship and friendship binding us in that universal chain of affection. Be well, and I intend to see you in Lodge! Fraternally, Dale A. Lynch Jr., DDGM

23 Brethren, Your District Light staff is working hard to bring you the best and highest quality publication we can. You can help by contributing photos, articles, flyers, and lists of your important calendar dates (including your Regular and Emergent Communications) in a convenient format. Photos should be submitted in JPEG format. Flyers should be submitted in full-page PDF or JPEG format. Article text and text accompanying photographs may be submitted in any convenient text format from which we can cut and paste. Calendar entries are especially important when there is no other flyer for the Communication or Event. All we need for the Calendar is the Lodge, Date, and a very brief description of the program or event, e.g., guest speakers, degrees, non-standard communication dates, etc. Because we usually assemble each issue of the District Light well in advance of your Trestleboard deadlines, it is very helpful if you submit information in the proper format as soon as it is available to you. Thanks for your cooperation, and we ll keep trying to bring you the very best District Light we can!
