VOLUME 46, ISSUE 8 WEEKLY ANNOUNCEMENTS February 24, 2019 United Methodist Women Celebrate 150th Birthday March Campaign: Women Helping Women United Methodist Women invite you to join our "Women Helping Women" campaign throughout the month of March leading up to our 150th Birthday Celebration on March 24. We will collect personal hygiene items in a large box labelled "Women Helping Women" on the window ledge near the church office. On March 24, between services in Fellowship Hall, please join us to celebrate the United Methodist Women 150th Birthday. We will serve birthday cake and beverages and you can learn more about the history and legacy of UMW. We will also share FUMC United Methodist Women local, state, and national mission initiatives. Forum Class new study begins March 10 The Forum Class will be doing Adam Hamilton s Final Words from the Cross, as our Lenten study on Sundays, March 10 through April 14. Books are available at the church reception desk. The cost of the book is $10, if you are able. The Forum Class meets in the Hearth Room on Sundays from 10:15-11:15 am, and provides a safe place for interesting, friendly, thoughtprovoking discussion, whatever your point of view. Your support is needed to make disciples for Jesus Christ The Baltic Methodist Seminary in Estonia continues to train pastors to give church leadership in Europe. The Baltic seminary has limited funds. Theological textbooks are needed. $1,000 would buy 40 theological textbooks for the students.
