Create Disciples Connect in Community Commit to Serve The Pastor s Corner Spring has come and the most wonderful and Holy time of year is just around the corner. Easter is the celebration of our risen savior who has conquered death, hell and the grave. It is a time of rejoicing around the world as Christians everywhere lift their voices and hands in worship of the King of Kings. I can not hardly wait. It is going to be a wonderful service and I hope that everyone will invite someone to come and join us on that day. You may have noticed that many areas of the church have been updated with fresh paint, flooring and soon new lights. I want to say a great big thank you to all the people who have given their time and efforts to these projects as well as those who have donated to help fund these changes. We still have a lot to do but I know that with God s help we will get it all done. I would also like to thank our missions committee for putting on the family movie night, it was a great success with close to 100 people in attendance. It was great to see all the kids here that night playing and enjoying the movie. We are going to be seeing a lot more children on campus in the weeks and months ahead. T-ball will start in April and we will have a great opportunity to reach out to families and children in our community. We will also have our annual Easter Eggstravaganza on April 15th which is a great time for our church to show the love of Jesus to our community. Please plan to come out and support these wonderful outreach opportunities. God is so good and He is doing amazing things here at Pine Forest UMC. Your Brother in Christ, Andy

Daughters of the King Will meet at the church on April 11th at 6:30pm at Kathy McBride s home. Wilde Bunch Outing The Wilde Bunch will go to The Fishing Hole. We will meet at the restaurant at 5:30pm. Please contact Shirley Weaver at 850-476-8122 to RSVP Friendship Circle Will meet April 18th at 10:30am in the fellowship hall. Sonshine Exercise Class Olivia would like each of us to say what and why we like our exercise classes. I ll be honest, there are mornings I do not want to come. But...I know it helps my stiff old joints move better. I m moving parts I haven t been moving (for a while) and I really enjoy the laughter. Cindy suggested we call ourselves the Miscounts at one time because we can sure miss the counts. I have been known to tell Olivia I m gonna hurt you when she's pushing us to our limits and we all love each others witty remarks as we plod along. But seriously, I sit a lot of our exercises as it s hard for me to stand and do them. We are accepted for what we can do. We need to keep our bodies moving so we can do the work the Lord needs us to do. We have fellowship, exercise and a devotion with prayer as we need it. We also have a lot of FUN and LAUGHTER. Come join us The Sonshines. Shirley Webb See you at exercise class! If you re looking for women of the Bible, you can look under number 220 (Bible and Bible Studies), Biographies, and number 813 (Christian fiction). Sue Collyer has read several books and has graciously provided us with a synopsis for each of them. One is called Mary Magdalene by Diana Wallis Taylor, providing a fictionalized account of Mary s life prior to and after meeting Jesus. You can find it in the fiction section (813). Then there s the Harmony Series of eight books written by Phillip Gulley. This is a fictional account of Sam Gardner, the leader of a Quaker congregation and the exploits of the town s residents as they live out their daily lives. This series will also be in the fiction section (813). According to Sue: Each book is a stand-alone novel, although reading them in order would enhance the reader s enjoyment. You can find Sue s synopsis cards for each of the books she has reviewed inside the 3-ring binder located on the library table. I am working on inputting all of our books into an online website which will be available to you from any location, at your convenience. More on that later. Our library is located in building 2. Come and see. Happy reading! Margie Shelton
