INTRODUCTION For some reason we have been conditioned to believe that it is impossible to connect with our Guides. We have to be a special type of person to do this. Yet, each and every one of us has the ability. The only problem is that we have forgotten how to do this and we have forgotten how easy it actually is. For me, this started a few years ago when I decided to get out of my own way and start looking for the signs. In this e-book I will explain more about your Guides and other beautiful beings that we can also connect with out there. I will also talk about their roles and what to look for when they are talking to you. Then some tips on meditation and some extra exercises to do at home to build your confidence. And finally if you want to find out exactly what they look like, their names and their roles on your team, send me an email and book a session to meet them. WHAT ARE GUIDES? - A multitude of beings on the spiritual planes that are there to assist us every minute of every day. - We are all assigned with a team of Guides for the duration of our incarnation. - They assist us in our spiritual development and in the fulfilling of our highest path and purpose. - They assist us, protect us and inspire our creativity. - They also provide us with information and guidance. - They are always loving and always there, no harshness or judgement will ever come from them. There are two main groups of guides the inner circle and the outer circle of guides. Inner Circle - This is your own personal team up to six Guides depending on what you need. No one else can use your Guides, unlike for instance Archangel Michael that we can all connect to, your Guides are your Guides and only work for you. - They are souls just like me and you with a wealth of experience and a long physical history here on earth. 3
- One of them is with you from birth and is known as your birth to death Guide. - You hire the others as you grow older and as your need for guidance grows. - They receive your prayer requests and relay the energy of your intentions out into the Universe. - They can call upon other Guides, Angelic Beings and spiritual committees and Councils for extra guidance. - They are extremely efficient and they manage our interactions with the spiritual realm for us. - Your Higher-Self is in charge when it comes to hiring your Spirit Guide team. - As you evolve your team evolves too. - You also get given special assignment Guides. They come in for a short time to help out with whatever you are busy with. There is no need to request, your Higher Self sorts this out on your behalf. Outer Circle - In your outer circle there are 7 Guides present. - They are much older Souls with a lot more spiritual life experience. - They are NOT involved in the small details of your everyday life and are not guiding you through everyday experiences; this is the job of your Inner Circle Guides. - The Inner Circle Guides interacts with your Outer Circle Guides on your behalf. - The 7 Outer Circle Guides are: - Your Chief Guide this Guide coordinates between the circles and your spiritual masters, teachers and special assignment Guides. This Guide collaborates with your Higher Self. - Your Gatekeeper this Guide is in charge of opening Soul-level memory at the appropriate time. So if you think about past lives for instance that needs to be revealed or anything else that will help you in your spiritual growth. This is the Guide that helps with those aspects. - Your Timing Guide this Guide works with gatekeeper and is in charge of creating the timing of the most appropriate experiences for you. When the time is right the right thing will happen. - Your Karmic Technician this Guide helps you resolve unfinished business and completing karma. - Your Creative Guide this Guide facilitates your talents and connects you to beauty and aesthetics. - Your Guardian this is your bodyguard, sometimes we refer to them as our Guardian Angels. - Your Astral Guide this Guide guides you during your astral (sleep) time and helps you to travel safely Other types of beings that we can also work with during our spiritual journey include the below, but is not limited to this. Connecting with the below beings is something you can ask for on a daily basis and all depends on what you need at that time. The nice thing about these guys are that you just have to ask and they will assist. Archangels These are the highest ranking angels in heaven. There are various archangels and the most well known ones are Michael, Raphael, Gabriel. There are loads more that you can invoke and work with depending on what you are working through. Doreen Virtue provides very detailed information in her books. There is also an entire hierarchy of angels that you can work with, best to go and research this and see what resonates with you. 4
Ascended Masters They are great healers, teachers or prophets who walked upon the earth and are now back in spirit world. They come from all cultures, religions, civilizations and there are ancient and modern Ascended Masters. Think of figures like Jesus, Moses and Buddha, Saints, Goddesses and Gods, bodhisattvas, devas and deities. Again Doreen Virtue provides very detailed information in her books about these and invoking them to help you is absolutely lovely. I always say that depending on what you are working with or healing, connect with that energy and call in that Ascended Master to assist you with the task at hand. Power Animals They are part of shamanic traditions. Finding your power animal and bringing it more into your life will enable you to feel more able to meet life s challenges with strength and confidence. They embody the essence, experience, wisdom and abilities of all the animals of that type, but they are also uniquely and vibrantly your own. Depending on which energy you connect more strongly with you will once again call in this energy for yourself. Some people connect better with angels, others with animals others with fairies, you need to see what resonates more strongly for you and use that. Fairies Fairies are many and varied beings and can also be used as guides and helpers if you attune to them. As with the four nature elements, fairies are grouped as follows - Fire fairies - known as salamanders - Air fairies known as sylphs - Water fairies known as undines - Earth fairies known as gnomes THE ROLE OF GUIDES Why are they here? - They are here to guide you along the path to your authentic self expression in this lifetime. - They make sure you find the right books, resources, meet the right people, even with money to get onto this path. - They also send ideas and inspiration your way to nudge you in the right direction. - They create happiness for us. - They are NOT here as magical genies. - They are NOT here to take away the fact that you still have to do the work to achieve the goal. 5
- They do NOT know about other people s lives - So make sure you ask with sincerity for your highest good and beware the answer might not be what and how you think it should be. So always keep an open mind when looking for answers along your spiritual journey. INTUITUON - This is what I like to call listening without thinking. - Intuition means ability to understand something immediately, without the need for conscious reasoning. - So no engaging of the brain at all. - We are all intuitive we just like to reason and doubt it away! - Can you feel when someone is lying to you, can you feel when someone is upset, do you get a sense you should not do something THAT IS INTUITION! - No need to acquire any new skills start trusting what you hear / feel / see. - I always tell my clients that whatever comes into your head first that is your intuition talking. If you think about the body we have two things that we use on a daily basis our brain and our heart. Now the heart works much faster than the brain scientifically speaking, so the message that goes to your brain and hits it first will be from the heart (or also known as intuition) and then our rational mind engages and tries to reason this thought away. So stop doubting what comes up first, no matter how crazy it might sound. This however takes practice, so don t stop trying every single day. - If you are asking for guidance call in your Spirit Guides, Angels and Guardian Angels and ask them to assist you. Ask for a sign. There are various voices coming from inside us and they are broken into the following three choices: Intuition/Higher Self OR Guides/Angels OR Ego. Check below what the attributes of these little voices are and start trying to identify them when you are moving through life and trying to make various decisions for yourself. - Ego o The ego is all about survival (so not all bad as it protects us!) and don t think you can get rid of it either you just have to learn to ignore it. o The ego is about wants, securities, plans, stress and anxiety. o The ego also is about feelings of victimization. o The ego voice is riddled with defensiveness. o This voice is also often rooted in fear. 6
Higher Self / Intuition o o o o Your Higher Self is connected to the Universe. The voice is really felt think about gut feelings. This voice generally makes sense to you if you analyse it properly. This voice is connected to your inner knowingness. - Guides / Angels o This voice is the most quiet of all of them. o Sometimes this is voice presents as ringing in your ears or goosebumps or other physical feelings. o This voice is a calm, loving and gentle one. o No fear associated with this. o Often symbolic rather than literal. So look for signs too! Intuition is broken down into four groups and here are some attributes of those groups below. Also note that you might have one, more than one or all four of these. There are no rules for this, so try and decipher what is your strongest attributes and hone in on practicing those. Clairvoyance (Clear Seeing) - Ability to see the future or auras for instance. - You can see right through people and know if they are lying. - You can often also see orbs or spirits. - You are more visually creative and can remember details well. Thinking in pictures. Clairaudience (Clear Hearing) - Ability to hear voices and receive messages from spirit world. - With people you can listen past what they are saying into what they are thinking. - You are good at analyzing people and what they are thinking. - Very often you have ringing in your ears. Clairsentience (Clear Feeling) - Ability to know exactly how someone is feeling, sense when something is wrong. - You are prone to goosebumps or tingly feelings. - Often empaths tuning into other s emotions and feel it as well. - Sensitive to others energy, and you can feel drained by too many people. 7
Claircognizance (Clear Knowing) - That feeling of just knowing with no proof. You just know things. - Often you receive sudden insights into the past, present or future. - Often knows stuff without knowing anything about things. - Mentally orientated people who are very analytical. CONNECTING How do you know when your guides are trying to communicate with you? This varies for all of us, but the most important thing to remember is that you need to starting listening, looking and noticing all the signs that they are throwing your way. So when we talk about synchronicity it is your Guides talking to you. And be aware some of them have insane sense of humours, so enjoy the cute messages you will find all around once you start looking. And please, please remember to ask a question otherwise what will they have to answer!! So next time you wonder why aren t I connecting with my Guides, maybe it is because you are not asking them for anything... So remember connecting is different for everyone, but here are some things to watch out for and open yourself up to: 1. Cards or written messages so if you draw a card from an angel deck for instance or notice some words on a billboard or in a magazine or book see how that pertains to a question that you asked your guides. 2. Number patterns and sequences if you see 11:11 for instance, then go and google what that means, if you see 2 s all the time or 9 s all of these numbers mean something, so go and be an investigator and check it out. 3. Seeing lights or orbs around. - Orbs are physical entities - Flashing or sparkling lights are Guides or Angels. - White lights are guardian angels 4. Insects butterflies, praying mantis, dragonflies. As with numbers, insects have meaning too so if you see a butterfly three times in a day then start thinking what does it mean, what are you currently going through and what could this be an answer to. Google spiritual meanings for this insect and see what resonates with you. 8
5. Birds. As with insects, it is the same thing. My magic number is three; if I see something three times in a day then I know there must be something to it! So go google! 6. Animals. As with insects and birds, get googling! 7. Hearing a song or thinking of the words of a song. Sometimes when you are seeking an answer or struggling with a problem and you hear a line in a song that makes you stop this is an answer. So often I have driven in my car struggling with a problem and a beautiful song with such relevant words come up and then it answers my question or gives me peace. So start being present and listening to what you hear out there. 8. Hearing your name called. Your guides are drawing your attention so think about what you were thinking at that moment. 9. High pitched ringing. Again your guides are drawing your attention so think about what you were thinking at that moment. 10. Vivid or recurring dreams. Start writing down your dreams and analysing what it is all about. Dreams are usually about us, so see what you feel when you think about the dream and start investigating. 11. Automatic writing. This is an amazing way to receive messages from your Guides. See the instructions at the end of the booklet. It basically comes down to sitting, asking a question and then writing the answer down and seeing what you scribble down. Make sure you don t engage your rational mind, just write without thinking and you will be amazed at the answers that you receive. This is fun so get cracking!!! 9
MEDITATION In order for us to engage with our Guides we have to also get quiet and allow them to whisper in our ears. And I know most of you don t or can t meditate, but 5 minutes a day is all you need and as you get better and it increase the time. Tune into your inner voice. Follow this simple process below: - Prayer of protection before you start Let Divine Truth, Love and Light expand within me, I request my Angels and Teachers, Masters and Guides to be with me and to protect and guide me. I am safe and looked after. Thank you, thank you, thank you - Invite your Guides and Angels in from the outskirts - Let them know that you are ready and willing to receive their messages and guidance - Ask what you want to ask - Go into stillness set a timer for 5 minutes to start - When the timer goes off take your journal and start writing down everything you can remember from the meditation - Once completed, ground yourself by stomping your feet on the ground and then imagining yourself growing roots into Mother Earth - ALWAYS thank your Guides and Angels when you are done Other ways to meditate - Conscious stillness and awareness - Calm and still your mind - Focus on inside you, creative energy - Gardening, cooking, drawing, colouring, cycling - Anything that you do that makes you lose track of time 10
TO PRACTICE AT HOME Work on strengthening your intuition: Automatic writing - Remember to start with a question. Write it down. - Get into your still space and breathe to relax 4 seconds in, hold for 4 seconds and 4 seconds out repeat this 3 times. Have your eyes closed and focus on connecting with your heart whilst doing this. - Start writing in your journal. - Keep writing no matter what you write, even if you write I don t know what I am writing here just keep on writing and writing and writing. - Eventually the words will start flowing and your Guides will start talking. - So just go with it, switch your mind off and let the pen do the talking. Pendulum reading - Still your mind, breathe in and out and then ask a simple question Is my name Debbie? - Then take your pendulum and wait for the movement to begin. - Clockwise is yes, anti-clockwise is no and up and down is maybe. - Keep practicing and trying more and more questions until you feel confident. When you get more comfortable to listening, then start asking other questions that you don t know the answer to. It takes practice so just keep going!!! 11
