October 28 2018 Thirtieth Sunday in Ordinary Time Jeremiah 31:7-9 Hebrews 5:1-6 Mark 10:46-52 ********************************* Do Your Part Know anybody in your life that always wants good things to happen, but just won't make any effort? They talk and scheme and dream but seem to stay motionless waiting for the good times to come to them. Maybe that somebody is you. We've all heard the proverb, "good things come to those who wait". But, really, does life prove that true? In reality, good things come to those who work for them. You have to be willing to do your part, even when it comes to faith. Every step of faith, every inch of spiritual growth requires our action first. God doesn't intrude in our lives - He waits to be invited. We must walk toward Him believing, trusting in Him, then we'll see the amazing things He can do in our lives. When Jesus performed miracles of healing, He said "Your faith has healed you." The sick and the lame believed first, took the first step and then Jesus could act. Are you waiting for a miracle in your life today? Do you need to see the hand of God? Go ahead and step out in faith. He's just waiting for you to do your part first. Copyright 2005 C L Enterprises
