CONNEC IONS from your Pastor s Heart Budgets and Blessings! This Sunday we will have the privilege of affirming our Christ-Uplifting 2014 Ministry Plan in the morning services. Our FBC Family always starts its budgeting process in July. Our calendars were synchronized. Calculations were made. Missions and ministries were projected. Your input was solicited. Hundreds of hours were corporately expended. Then the pieces of the puzzle were prayerfully assembled. Our Finance Committee, ably captained by Mike Rowell, orchestrated the process. The Church Leadership Council and the Deacons then scrutinized the results and unanimously endorsed the plan. Finally, we offer it to the Lord and His people. Our church budget is far more than a bunch of numbers on a page. Our budget is a blueprint for future mission and ministry action. Every number represents lives touched for Christ, mission endeavors fueled, people discipled, evangelism opportunities embraced, children and teens nurtured, and the Kingdom of God advanced. I trust you will embrace the 2014 budget as God s game plan for our church family. Pray that we would be faithfully committed to God s cause and then step forward and provide the resources of time, talents, and treasure to fuel these eternity-impacting ministry endeavors. With great appreciation for God s blessings and your faithfulness, 2014 Proposed Budget The church will vote on the budget without discussion during both morning worship services on Sunday, October 6. Copies of the budget are available on the tables in the main sanctuary foyers or by visiting www.montgomeryfbc.org/stewardship.
