Feast of Sukkot The Feast of Sukkot is the sixth Holy Day of the year, picturing another step in Yahweh s Master Plan for all mankind. It is a time of great rejoicing and celebrated for seven days with the first day being a High Holy Day. No laborious work should be done on this first day. For ancient Israel, not only was this a great time of rejoicing, but they were also celebrating the abundant food supply that was harvested right before the feast. So, when is the feast of Sukkot observed? Scripture tells us: Speak to the sons of Israel, saying, in the fifteenth day of this seventh month shall be a Feast of Booths, seven days to Yahweh. On the first day shall be a holy gathering; you shall do no laborious work. Leviticus 23:34-35 The Feast of Sukkot is a yearly reminder, picturing the happiness and joy that Yahshua Messiah will bring! At this time Yahshua will also re-gathering all of His people around the world. How do we celebrate this feast? Again, scripture tells us: You shall sit in Sookkuhs for seven days; all who are native in Israel shall sit down in Sookkuhs, so that our generations shall know that I caused the sons of Israel to live in Sookkuhs, when I brought them out of the land of Egypt; I am YAHWEH your Elohim. Leviticus 23:42-43 By doing this, it shows Yahweh s people what Yahshua s reign will be like when Satan and is gone and the spirit of Yahweh is leading the whole world.

Pomegranate Tree: Date Palm Tree: Harvest Fruit Trees Fun Facts Can live very long and believed to be one of the oldest fruits. There are some known to be over 200 years of age. They usually grow 12ft (3.5 M) to 16ft (5 M) tall as a round shrub or small tree, but can reach up to 30ft (9 M) tall in ideal conditions. This tree produces stiff branches covered with glossy, leathery lance-shaped leaves. Some varieties of pomegranate trees grow spines along the branches. The red or white flowers spread over an inch wide. They usually grow best in dry, desert climates. They can reach heights of 40ft (12 M) to 70ft (21 M). The tree is very functional and every part can be used for something. The leaves can be used for fences to protect against wind. They can also be woven into baskets, mats, brooms, beds, ropes and also made into furniture. The trunk can be used for construction timber to make roofs, boats and bridges. The elastic fibers that cover the trunk are used for camel and horse saddles. Fig Tree: They usually grow best in Mediterranean and dryer-warmer climates. They grow typically between 10ft (3M) - 30ft (9M) but could reach heights up to 50ft (15M) tall. Their branches are muscular and twisting, spreading wider then they are tall. The leaves are bright green and grow very large in size. Olive Tree: The olive tree can grow to be very old with an average life of 300-600 years. Some of the olive trees found today in the Garden of Gethsemane are believed to be almost two thousand years old. The greenery is dense, and when it becomes old, the trunk obtains a unique pattern of twists and turns, bumps and knots, on its bark, giving the tree a very interesting appearance. Grape Vine: Grape vines are among the earliest wild plants cultivated by humans. There are about 50 species and have a long life, averaging 60-70 years. The typical growing season for a grape vine is 150 to 180 days, during which time it can produce 25 to 30 pounds of fruit. The vine can grow up to 50 feet long and have about 40 clusters of grapes at a time. In the wild, grapes depend on trees for support. In farming, they need you to provide them with support.

Yahweh commanded the ancient Israelites to live in temporary shelters made of tree branches while observing the Feast of Tabernacles. Today there are many different things that would qualify as temporary dwellings for Yahweh s people.

The Last Great Day The Last Great Day is the last annual Sabbath or Holy Day observed immediately after the Feast of Sukkot. Since it s so close to the Feast of Sukkot it came to be known as The Eighth Day and no laborious work should be done because it s a high holy day. Seven days you shall bring a fire offering to Yahweh; on the eighth day you shall have a holy gathering; and you shall bring the fire offering to Yahweh; it is a solemn assembly; you shall do no laborious work of service. Leviticus 23:36 So, what does the Last Great Day picture in Yahweh s Master Plan? Eight is number of new beginnings and this feast pictures the completion and last step in Yahweh s Master Plan for all of mankind. After the millennium (1,000 years) is over, Yahshua will set down every enemy, including death, which is the last. After that, the family of Yahweh will be ready for the final step, the Great White Throne Judgment. For well all must appear before the judgment seat of Messiah, so that each one may receive the things done through the body, according to what he did, whether good or bad. 2 nd Corinthians 5:10 This is where all the people that ever lived will be judged for the things done in their life, both good and bad. And I saw the dead, the small and the great, standing before Yahweh. And books were opened. And another Book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged out of the things written in the books, according to their works. Revelation 20:12 This seventh festival of Yahweh reveals the perfection of Yahweh s great Master Plan and show s His love and mercy towards all mankind will extend beyond the Millennium. Now on the great day, which is the last of the feast, Yahshua was standing and He cried out and said, if a man thirsts, let him come to Me and drink! John 7:37

Harvest Fruit Fun Facts And they came in to the valley of Eshcol, and cut down from there a branch and one cluster of grapes. And they carried it on a staff by two; also of the pomegranates and of the figs. Numbers 13:23 There are seven agricultural fruits that are native to the land of Israel. These are wheat, barley, pomegranates, figs, olives, dates and grapes. Wheat and barley are harvested in the Spring, and the other five fruits are ready to be harvested in the Autumn, before the time of Sukkot. All of these fruits come from vegetation that can grow on its own with no intervention from man. The fruits are very nutritious and have many health benefits and uses. Pomegranate Rimon Pomegranates can live very long. There are some known to be over 200 years of age. The crown on the top of the fruit is called a calyx. The Israelite High Priests had pomegranates embroidered on the hem of their priestly robes. Pomegranate juice has a dark red color and it can be used to dye fabrics and make ink. Fig - te'enah The Fig tree is mentioned over fifty times in the Scriptures. Figs come from a tree that can grow up to 20 feet tall with very large leaves. The flower of the tree is never seen. Some of the olive trees found today in the Garden of Gethsemane are believed to be almost two thousand years old. The olives are eaten and also collected to be pressed into olive oil. Shemen is the Hebrew word for oil. Olive oil has many uses such as; anointing oil, fuel to light lamps, cooking, medicinal use, and moisturizing skin. Date Tamar Dates are the fruit that comes from the Date Palm tree. The tree is very functional and every part can be used for something. The dates are eaten for food and also made into honey.
