1 COURSE DESCRIPTION BIBLE BI 101 BI 102 OLD TESTAMENT SURVEY OLD TESTAMENT SURVEY A course of study intended to give the student a good understanding of the content, history and customs of the Old Testament. Each book is thoroughly examined with a view toward gaining information which will aid the student in interpreting Scripture. BI 101 - A study of the creation; the fall; the patriarchs and the story of Joseph; the remainder of the Pentateuch; the conquering and division of Canaan; Judges and Ruth. BI 102 - A study of Samuel, the last judge; the reign of Saul, David and Solomon; the divided kingdom (Northern and Southern) with their respective kings and prophets, the captivities of each; Israel's restoration period and its prophets. BI 103 NEW TESTAMENT SURVEY A foundation study of the New Testament giving its divisions and a brief study of each book in the historical and cultural context of the Graeco-Roman world. This course is designed to give the student a grasp of the New Testament as a whole and insight into each book as it relates to the others. LIFE OF CHRIST LIFE Of CHRIST LIFE OF CHRIST The purpose of this course is to open to the student the life of the Saviour; the background of the Gospels; the Jews and their habits and characteristics, and all the aspects of Christ's life. BI 110 An introduction into the background of the New Testament historically and culturally, looking at the world as it was in Christ s day. A study of the nature of he Gospels and His unique birth to the beginning of His public ministry.

BI 112 A study of the triumphal entry, the last hours of Christ with His disciples, the arrest, crucifixion, resurrection and post-resurrection appearances. BI 210 BI 211 BI 212 EPISTLES EPISTLES EPISTLES A study of the Pauline (with the exception of Romans) and general epistles: Pauline epistles; these epistles will be studied in their chronological order. The student will first be given a general introduction to these books then each epistle will be considered individually as to its background, outline and message. BI 214 BI 215 MAJOR PROPHETS MAJOR PROPHETS A study of the Major Prophets, background, character, ministry, style of writing, message. Daniel will be studied from a historical perspective, not prophetical. BI 214 Isaiah; Jeremiah BI 215 Lamentations, Ezekiel, Daniel BI 217 BI 218 MINOR PROPHETS MINOR PROPHETS A study of the Minor Prophets, Hosea through Malachi; background, character, ministry, style of writing, message and present day application. BI 217 Hosea, Prophet of Love; Joel, the Prophet of Pentecost; Amos, Prophet of Justice; Obadiah, Censurer of Ridicule; Jonah, Prophet of Repentance; Micah, Prophet of the Poor. BI 218 Nahum, the Poet; Habakkuk, the Philosopher; Zephaniah, the Orator; Haggai, Prophet of Temple Building; Zecharaiah, the Seer; Malachi, the Lecturer. BI 220 ROMANS This course offers a close examination of the basic teachings of this with a study of its background, author, circumstances of writing and the parenthetical chapters (9-11) concerning the Jews.

3 BI 310 HEBREWS An in-depth study of the book of Hebrews; introduction; background, style, author and purpose, message; Jesus Christ, the final and full revelation of God and our great High Priest, the better Covenant, the heroes of faith and the worship and walk of the believer. BI 116 Introduction to general theory of evolution as opposed to Biblical creationism; the account of creation Genesis 1 and 2 with defense of the literal sixday creation and his-toricity of Genesis. BI 117 BI 118 The fall of man to the flood. The patriarchs and the dispensations. MINISTRIES BI 201 BI 202 MINISTERIAL ETHICS MINISTERIAL ETHICS A study dealing with the minister's ethics on a personal and pro-fessional level. MI 201 Personal ethics; the minister's sincerity, honesty, courtesy, handling of personal business and finances, moderation in dress, conduct and conversation and etiquette. MI 202 Professional ethics; the minister's relationship with other ministers, superiors, his congregation, community and opposite sex MI 203 MINISTERIAL DUTIES A study of the various services that a minister will be called to conduct; worship, Bible study, business meeting, baptism, baby dedication, communion, foot washing, funeral, conferences and pastoral calls. MI 301 PRACTICAL MINISTRIES - Pre-requisite: MI 203 A practice for providing opportunities to experience the various ministerial duties studied in theory in MI 202. These experiences be supervised and the student will receive evaluation and suggestions.

4 MI 302 REVIVAL PRINCIPLES A study of the basis for revival; the principles of revival as revealed in the Bible: faith, prayer, fasting, witnessing and worship; brief synopsis of great revivals in history; Cartwright, Finney, Whitefield, Wesley and others. MI 305 CHURCH ORGANIZATION AND ADMINISTRATION This course is designed to introduce the student to the business side of Church planting; the proper METHOD of filling offices in a church; election of trustees for corporations; duties of pastor and officers; rights involved in rented and leased properties; Church By-laws; Biblical handling of Church problems. CHRISTIAN EDUCATION CE 100 EVANGELISM A study of the importance and methods of personal evangelism; witnessing in the life of Christ and the Apostles; appearance and approach of the soul winner; communication, over-coming prejudice and paternalism; tract distribution; door to door evangelism, home Bible studies and meetings. CE 201 TEACHING TECHNIQUES CE 202 TEACHING TECHNIQUES A study in the art of teaching. CE 201 Introduction to characteristics at various age levels and the factors, which enhance or hinder spiritual, physical, social and academic development. CE 202 Teaching methods; lecture, discussion, story telling, question and answer, supervised student research. Teaching aids; visual, audio-visuals, audio, object lesson, preparation and filing of teaching materials. Evaluation of student learning. CE 321 BUSINESS MANAGEMENT A condensed study of the mechanics of business management; letter writing, bookkeeping, filing, budget planning. CE 310 CE 311 CE 312 INTRODUCTION TO CHRISTIAN COUNSELING INTRODUCTION TO CHRISTIAN COUNSELING INTRODUCTION TO CHRISTIAN COUNSELING An introduction to counseling which address such topics as counseling problems, nouthetic counseling, the counselor, anger, sin, sex and fear. CE 310 The problem with counseling; the Holy Spirit in counseling, nouthetic counseling; confessing your sins. CE 311 Communication; multiple counseling persons, presuppositions and principle; the language, love and changeof counseling. CE 312 Getting started; analysis of homework for counseling; dealing with various emotions, schizophrenia and sexual problems. CE 314 LEADERSHIP PRINCIPLES

5 This course is designed to introduce the student to certain prin-ciples of leadership; natural and spiritual leadership; the cost, responsibilities and tests and leadership; the art of delegation; the peril of leadership. BI 317 REVELATION A perusal of the book of Revelation: introduction; background, author, purpose. A close look at the messages to the seven churches with overview of the remainder of the book. BI 121 BI 122 BI 123 DOCTRINE I DOCTRINE I DOCTRINE I This course is designed to lay a good foundation of fundamental doctrines of the Bible. BI 121 - One God: God in emanation, God manifested; Titles: names. of God. BI 122 - Repentance from dead works; Faith toward God; Doctrine of Baptisms, Laying on of Hands; Resurrection of the Dead. BI 123 - The Church; Kingdom of God; Angels; Second Coming of Christ; Heaven; Eternal Judgment; Eternity. BI 221 BI 222 BI 223 DOCTRINE II DOCTRINE II DOCTRINE II A study of further foundational truth found in Scripture; emphasis on man and his need. BI 221 - Man; fallen man; doctrine of sin; the need of salvation, salvation provided. BI 222 - Salvation received; holiness. BI 223 - Prayer; fasting; ministry of intercession. The Church in the Reformation. The Church after the Reformation. PENTECOSTAL HISTORY This study is designed to give the student, not only historical knowledge of the great Pentecostal events and persons of this century, but to give him an awareness of an appreciation for his tremendous heritage. PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT PD 101 PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT PD 102 PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT PD 103 PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT A group of studies to help the student develop in his personal life qualities that will work toward his full potential spiritually, socially, emotionally and physically. PD 101 Covers spiritual growth and maturity. PD 102 Christian courtship, marriage and the Christian home. PD 103 Learning how to get along with people and developing good and lasting, interpersonal relationships, building a strong self- image through self-acceptance. PD 200 PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT A course to further help the student realize his full potentials, by developing selfconfidence through the "know how" of selecting the right clothes, (when you look your best you perform you best). A study of Biblical standards of dress and hair will also be included. Personal hygiene will also be taught. PD 300 PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT A practical course in how to glorify God in our body and spirit by knowing and obeying the rules of good health and proper nutrition. PUBLIC SPEAKING PS 201 PS 202 PUBLIC SPEAKING PUBLIC SPEAKING This course introduces the student to the principles of good speech. PS 201 Introduction to effective public speaking: how to analyze the task; how to discover an idea for the speech; how to focus the idea; how to develop the speech. PS 202 Speaking techniques and sermon preparation; poetry, expressive reading and famous speeches will be assigned projects on an individual basis. The student will use in practice what he has learned in principle. A video recorder will be used to monitor progress.
