Good Morning and Welcome! Prayer before worship: O Lord, in you we place our trust. Let that remain the case when we are surprised by the unexpected or overcome by fear and apprehension. Because you are the foundation of our world and universe, grant us confidence of your present power. In Jesus name. Amen. This Week s Prayer List - remember these in prayer: We pray for a portion of Zion s family and friends Kyle and Mary Nielsen; Ron, Tiffany, Whitney and Tanner Olson; Wayne and Arlys Panning; and Janice Pechonick. We pray for those under the care of a physician, undergoing treatment and therapy; for all difficulties and the ability to meet obligations and a strong faith for every need. Prayer Request: Tanner Olson, son of Ronnie and Tiffany, will be having his first-of-many surgeries on his leg, involving the tibia / fibula: We pray for peace and comfort for the family, along with a successful surgery, recovery, and physical therapy. Women s Bible Study will be starting on September 6th at 1 2 PM in the meeting room, led by Cindy Henschen. We will be studying 12 Women of the Bible. It includes a video and a study book, so bring along your Bible and a pen and let s discuss these women together for 1 hour each Wednesday throughout the fall. Water and cookies will be provided. Please call Cindy at 466-2017 if interested, or just come. Either way! Facility Improvement Updates: We have begun gym improvements, beginning with light replacement (the old lights have been removed so there is no lighting at this time). Painting should start early this week followed the installation of the new lights, so the gym will be unavailable next week. Tentatively, we are looking at September for the new floor to be installed! Preparation for the new outdoor basketball court are also underway, with the pad being poured Monday, weather permitting. Kitchen Mats: The kitchen recently upgraded to new mats. There are 4 old mats that still have a little wear left in them. If you are interested in grabbing one or more, contact Betty once school starts.
