Jesus Right Hand February 2017 For there is nothing covered that will not be revealed, nor hidden that will not be known. Luke 12:2 (NKJV) It is well known that the United States of America is changing and we believe what has been hidden is about to be revealed. Only God through Jesus Christ can orchestrate such a thing. No matter who is in office or in the governing bodies we need to pray like we have never prayed before for safety for those all those in involved. God does hear our prayers. We need to understand that there is evil in this world, however we have the power through Jesus Christ to come against it. Those involved with this ministry don t speak words of worry, anxiousness or defeat because God tells us in His Word that these words should not come from our lips. However, if we surrender and give God the control in our lives He will take that control. We have to trust Him with all things if we want to see lasting victory. Psalm 46 speaks about a shaking on the earth and in verse 10 God gives us this instruction when it happens: Be still and know that I am God. The Bible has given Jesus Right Hand three Scriptures to always be aware of: Isaiah 30:15 - In returning and rest you shall be saved; in quietness and confidence shall be your strength (NKJV) Isaiah 32:17 - The work of righteousness will be peace, and the effect of righteousness, quietness and assurance forever (NKJV) Psalms 16:8 - I have set the Lord continually before me; because He is at my right hand, I will not be shaken.. (NASB) Note: Jesus Right Hand was founded almost 30 years ago on this Scripture! These Scriptures assure us and lets others know that when things look bad, we have peace knowing only Jesus can change it IF WE BELIEVE IT. God is in control if we give Him that control. Others may even come to you after seeing the peace you are experiencing in the storm and ask you how you can have that. Then you will be able to say, It is because of what Jesus did for me on the Cross! It is our prayer that they will ask how they can have that same peace, because it is a wonderful opportunity to share that there is no other way except through Jesus Christ. Because of our personal experience during trials we found that it was the only way to know God s will in our situation. We believe this is a breakthrough year for long awaited answers to prayers. We have never given up and trust Him more today than ever before. He has taught us how to persevere through the tough times. We ve learned to be steadfast and unrelenting to the enemy that wants to destroy families, marriages, finances and health. He is a liar and if we know the Bible all we have to do is submit to God and resist the enemy. We resist him in Jesus name, letting him know we have turned control of our situation completely over to God. Continued on Page 2 1

Continued from Page 1 All of these promises given to us in the Bible have a condition to make them work. We need to have Jesus in our lives by asking Him into our hearts to forgive our sins. We need Him to know we believe in Him and all He did on the cross for us. That gives us victory over all hazards and things that arise in our lives that aren t so good. They are not just words, IF YOU BELIEVE THEM. It is His Spirit in us that allow us to understand these Scriptures, for they are God s will for our lives IF WE BELIEVE THEM. The following promises belong to you and will give you hope and faith if you have Jesus in your heart and if you believe the promise He has given to you: Psalm 37:19 - In times of disaster they will not wither; in days of famine they will enjoy plenty. (NIV) Wow isn t that a great promise? Isaiah 60:1-3 - Arise, shine; for your light has come! And the glory of the Lord is risen upon you. For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and deep darkness the people; but the Lord will arise over you, and His glory will be seen upon you. The Gentiles shall come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your rising. (NKJV) Philippians 4:6-7 - Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. (NKJV) Proverbs 3:5-6 - Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths. (NKJV) Numbers 23:19 - God is not a man, that He should lie, nor a son of man, that He should repent. Has He said, and will He not do? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good? (NKJV) 2 Peter 1:3-4 - His divine power has given us everything we need for a godly life through our knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and goodness. Through these He has given us his very great and precious promises, so that through them you may participate in the divine nature, having escaped the corruption in the world caused by evil desires. (NIV) All these Scriptures cannot be understood correctly without Jesus coming into your heart to make it simple for you. On page 3 of this newsletter you will find the prayer to lead you to Jesus Christ if you have not done so. You may have already done this when you were younger and just need to recommit your life to Him. We have all had to do this at least once in our Christian life. Read the prayer out loud because it says in Romans 10:9-10 that we need to confess it with our mouths (which means speak it out loud) and believe it in our heart. We want you to know how much we love and appreciate you all. Remember, we are here for you if you have a need. This ministry has been striving to know HIS Word because we ve found victory in the great promises it contains. We want that same victory for you and your life! Look up my friends, because we feel God is beginning to move in great ways for those who believe. WE will not be defeated by bad news, fear or anxiousness and neither will you! Receive this message with love as we send it in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. 2

Prayer of Salvation Dear Heavenly Father: I have come to You asking You to make me a true child of God. I know that I m a sinner and I ask You to forgive my sins. Romans 3:23 tells me all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. I want Jesus Christ to come into my heart to give me a purpose, a peace and victory in my trials and challenges. I want to live eternally with You in Heaven. I believe that Jesus lived and died on the cross and was resurrected for me. You said in Romans 10:9-10 that If I confess with my mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in my heart that God raised Him from the dead, that I will be saved. I want to be an overcomer in all things instead of living a defeated life in many things. Thank You for loving and saving me. In Jesus Name, Amen If you prayed this prayer out loud and believe what you just prayed, that makes you a child of the Most High God. You have been born again, meaning that every sin that you have ever committed was taken away since you asked Him to forgive your sins. You are truly a new person in Christ Jesus. You have got your ticket bought to Heaven since the Bible says in John 14:6 Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. 3

Monday s Fresh Food Giveaway Several years ago, Jesus Right Hand was blessed to be chosen as a distribution site for Trader Joe s Neighborhood Share program. Every Monday volunteers have faithfully driven up to West Des Moines to pick up the boxes and bags of donated produce, bread, meat and so much more. Word spread from neighbor to neighbor and we were able to distribute these items every Monday afternoon to a group of people that slowly but steadily increased in number. We began distributing the food in the small kitchen of our office and fellowship area where we only had enough room for three people to browse at a time. As the number of people began to increase, our seating area overflowed into the front entryway and even outside. Seeing our need, God blessed us with a vision to expand and move into the distribution center where we had double the table space and seating available to use. Every week is a learning experience for our volunteers; how to effectively fit extra boxes and bags into the vans, arranging and rearranging the donated items (sometimes multiple times), researching some of the unusual food items and how to prepare them, and even creating recipes and serving samples to those who walk through the door. The Fresh Food Giveaway has taught us to listen more carefully, speak more gently, bear one another s burdens and most of all, how to truly be a servant in the Kingdom of God. We ve grown so much through this journey and have learned to be faithful with the blessings God has entrusted to us. Many examples in the Bible teach us that if we are faithful with the little things, we can be trusted with bigger things. This has been the case with our Fresh Food Giveaway. Recently, we were offered the opportunity to pick up donations on Sunday in addition to our regular Monday pickup. This resulted in double the amount of food for our Monday giveaway. In addition, we have been receiving generous donations of products from Osceola Foods which we are also able to distribute every week. And the learning continues as we discover new ways to creatively display the food, move people through more efficiently and keeping the tables well stocked to ensure that those who come in later in the afternoon will still have a nice variety of food to choose from. We welcome anyone to come and see what we do on Mondays from 1-3 pm at our Distribution Center located at 415 West Street (look for our sidewalk sign). Much of the food is organic, including meats, cheeses, vegetables, fruits, bagged lettuce, ready-to-eat sandwiches and salads, desserts, bread, milk products and fresh cut flowers. Throughout the year we receive donations of fresh eggs from local farmers and in the summer are blessed with an abundance of produce from local gardens. We provide the sacks and most of the time you will be able to fill three sacks to supplement your food needs. And as always, hugs are available!! 4

Jesus Right Hand Clothing Closet Another exciting addition to our Distribution Center that many people are not aware of is our Clothing Closet which offers new and like-new clothing, shoes and accessories. Jesus Right Hand had clothing available in the past when we were located in our previous location, but it was eventually phased out due to lack of space. When the ministry expanded into the Distribution Center, there was a room which was just the right size to keep a manageable amount of clothing. God brought along a new volunteer who has faithfully sorted and organized the clothing in such a way that anyone can easily find what they may need. Ministry Needs Several times a year we hold a Free Clothing Giveaway on a Saturday morning where anyone can come in and go through the clothing we have available. Using the tables and space where we normally have a food giveaway, the area is filled with all the racks and tables of clothing all sorted by size. Jesus Right Hand accepts donations of new and like-new clothing of all sizes, but there is a great need of children s clothing in sizes 6 and up. Many of the families that come to us are looking for children s clothing, so this is an ongoing need for our ministry. If you have a clothing need, please feel free to contact us and we ll be glad to help. Because of the number of fresh food donations we are receiving every week, and the increasing number of people we are serving, Jesus Right Hand has need of additional refrigerators and freezers. Ideally, we would like to have a larger two-door commercial size refrigerator to keep all our donations fresh and cold in one location. The ministry is also in need of a large chest freezer or double door industrial freezer to accommodate the increase in food donations that can be frozen. We appreciate each and every person who calls, writes or stops by in person. It is a joy and delight to talk to you, give you a hug or to minister to you in any way. YOU are the reason we are here, and YOU are the reason we look forward to serving God through Jesus Right Hand. May God bless you mightily in everything you say and do! Crust: Filling: 1 C. flour 1 can apple pie filling 2 T. sugar 1 T. lemon juice 1 t. baking powder ½ t. cinnamon or 1 t. salt apple pie spice ¾ c. water 2/3 c. shortening 1 egg In a small mixing bowl, combine crust ingredients.
