GRACE pt 2 John 14:21 He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to him. Titus 2:11-15 For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men, 12 teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age, 13 looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, 14 who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from every lawless deed and purify for Himself His own special people, zealous for good works. 15 Speak these things, exhort, and rebuke with all authority. Let no one despise you. DENYING... Verb, middle voice.. It s an action WE do that affect US... vs 12 Teaching... 4084 παιδεύω (paideuō): vb.; DBLHebr 3579; Str 3811; TDNT 5.596 1. Shall we not much more readily be in subjection to the Father of spirits and live? 10 For they indeed for a few days chastened us as seemed best to them, but He for our profit, that we may be partakers of His holiness. 11 Now no chastening seems to be joyful for the present, but painful; nevertheless, afterward it yields the peaceable fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it. Job 5:17-18 Behold, happy is the man whom God corrects; Therefore do not despise the chastening of the Almighty. 18 For He bruises, but He binds up; He wounds, but His hands make whole.
Heb 12:28 Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us have grace, by which we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear. I John 2:1, 3-6 My little children, these things I write to you, so that you may not sin. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous. Now by this we know that we know Him, if we keep His commandments. He who says, I know Him, and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. But whoever keeps His word, truly the love of God is perfected in him. By this we know that we are in Him. He who says he abides in Him ought himself also to walk just as He walked. I John 3:4-6, 8-10 Whoever commits sin also commits lawlessness, and sin is lawlessness. And you know that He was manifested to take away our sins, and in Him there is no sin. Whoever abides in Him does not sin. Whoever sins has neither seen Him nor known Him. He who sins is of the devil, for the devil has sinned from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil. Whoever has been born of God does not sin, for His seed remains in him; and he cannot sin, because he has been born of God. In this the children of God and the children of the devil are manifest: Whoever does not practice righteousness is not of God, nor is he who does not love his brother. This is love, that we walk according to His commandments. This is the commandment, that as you have heard from the beginning, you should walk in it. (II John 1:6 NKJV)
Whoever transgresses and does not abide in the doctrine of Christ does not have God. He who abides in the doctrine of Christ has both the Father and the Son. If anyone comes to you and does not bring this doctrine, do not receive him into your house nor greet him; for he who greets him shares in his evil deeds. (II John 1:9-11 NKJV) JOSPEH PRINCE... Prince: The bottom line is that the Holy Spirit never convicts you of your sins. He NEVER comes to point out your faults. I challenge you to find a scripture in the Bible that tells you that the Holy Spirit has come to convict you of your sins. You won't find any! The body of Christ is living in defeat because many believers don't understand that the Holy Spirit is actually in them to convict them of their righteousness in Christ. Even when you fail, He is ever present in you to remind you that you are continually cleansed by the blood of Jesus. That's the Holy Spirit.... When you've failed, the Holy Spirit convicts you of righteousness, not your sins. (ibid. p.134, 135) John 16:7 Nevertheless I tell you the truth. It is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you; but if I depart, I will send Him to you. 8 And when He has come, He will convict the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: 9 of sin, because they do not believe in Me; 10 of righteousness, because I go to My Father and you see Me no more; 11 of judgment, because the ruler of this world is judged.
It is the Holy Spirit s job to convict us. The word convict is used in reference to Christians throughout the New Testament. It comes from the Greek word elegcho and means to expose, convict or reprimand, reprove, rebuke, refute, show fault. 5 All of the following scriptures use the word elegcho when speaking of the Holy Spirit s job to convict the body of Christ concerning sin: All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof [conviction], for correction, for instruction in righteousness. 2 TIMOTHY 3:16, EMPHASIS ADDED Moreover if your brother sins against you, go and tell him his fault [convict] between you and him alone. If he hears you, you have gained your brother. MATTHEW 18:15, EMPHASIS ADDED Do not receive an accusation against an elder except from two or three witnesses. Those who are sinning rebuke [convict] in the presence of all, that the rest also may fear. 1 TIMOTHY 5:19-20, EMPHASIS ADDED One of them, a prophet of their own, said, Cretans are always liars, evil beasts, lazy gluttons. This testimony is true. Therefore rebuke [convict] them sharply, that they may be sound in the faith, TITUS 1:12-13, EMPHASIS ADDED And you have forgotten the exhortation which speaks to you as to sons: My son, do not despise the chastening of the LORD, nor be discouraged when you are rebuked [convicted] by Him.
HEBREWS 12:5, EMPHASIS ADDED As many as I love, I rebuke [convict] and chasten. Therefore be zealous and repent. REVELATION 3:19, EMPHASIS ADDED HUNGRY for HUMILITY. 2 Pet 1:2-4 Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord, 3 as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue, 4 by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. Through the Knowledge... God HID all of His Kingdom and all of His favor behind a doorway called humility I Peter 5:5-6 Likewise you younger people, submit yourselves to your elders. Yes, all of you be submissive to one another, and be clothed with humility, for God resists the proud, But gives grace to the humble. Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time,
humility is to lower oneself - loneliness of mine. Jesus did not consider his eqaulity with god was something to be held onto but he lowered himself to become the servant even a slate. Phil 2:5-8 Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, 6 who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, 7 but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men. 8 And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross. when we exalt our feelings, thoughts, opinions, abilities, and weaknesses before the word of god it is pride. the lie of " i cant" I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me The false grace message says I can't. The true grace message says now I can. The false grace message says I can't by myself therefore there's no use in trying. The true grace message says I can through the favor of God therefore I shall overcome. I have access to power so I will use that power to overcome.
The False Grace message implies that I m incapable. The true grace message says Jesus is now in you, you now have access to the divine nature, now you have the power to overcome The false grace message wants to remove all personal responsibility claiming that I have no power, God knows it, therefore I am not required to personally do anything to act in a godly way. The true grace message says I now have the power of Christ, as result I can live Godly because the same spirit that raised christ from the dead dwells in me. Philippians 2:12-13 Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling; for it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure. Pride says i cant. Humility says I can do all things through Christ Price says I'm weak therefore don't try. Humility says in Christ I am more than a conqueror. Pride says I am forgiven therefore I don't have to try to live holy. Humility says I am delivered from the bondage and judgment of sin therefore I can now live holy.
Pride says trying to change my heart and mind is simply trying to manage Sin. Humility says I have weapons to take captive every thought and make it obedient to Christ. Pride says I'm powerless to overcome, humility says I an overcomer in Christ Jesus. Pride resist correction. Humility embraces it. pride makes the message of the Gospel about how it benifits me. Humilty makes the message of the Gospel about Glorifying God. I Peter 4:11 If anyone speaks, let him speak as the oracles of God. If anyone ministers, let him do it as with the ability which God supplies, that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom belong the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen. John 14:12-13 Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father. And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. how to humble ourselves God thoughts above ours
