Standing on the promises of Christ my King, Through eternal ages let His praises ring,
Glory in the highest, I will shout and sing, Standing on the promises of God.
Standing, standing, Standing on the promises of God my Savior; Standing, standing, I m standing on the promises of God.
Standing on the promises that cannot fail, When the howling storms of doubt and fear assail,
By the living Word of God I shall prevail, Standing on the promises of God.
Standing, standing, Standing on the promises of God my Savior; Standing, standing, I m standing on the promises of God.
Standing on the promises of Christ the Lord, Bound to Him eternally by love s strong cord,
Overcoming daily with the Spirit s sword, Standing on the promises of God.
Standing, standing, Standing on the promises of God my Savior; Standing, standing, I m standing on the promises of God.
Standing on the promises I cannot fall, Listening every moment to the Spirit s call
Resting in my Savior as my all in all, Standing on the promises of God.
Standing, standing, Standing on the promises of God my Savior; Standing, standing, I m standing on the promises of God.
OLD TESTAMENT: JEREMIAH 1:4-10
MATTHEW 10:11-20
#514 UMH
Stand up, stand up for Jesus! ye soldiers of the cross; Lift high His royal banner, it must not suffer loss:
From vict ry unto vict ry, His army shall He lead, Till every foe is vanquished, and Christ is Lord indeed.
Stand up, stand up for Jesus! The trumpet call obey: Forth to the mighty conflict, in this His glorious day;
Ye that are brave now serve Him against unnumbered foes; Let courage rise with danger, and strength to strength oppose.
Stand up, stand up for Jesus! Stand in His strength alone, The arm of flesh will fail you, ye dare not trust your own;
Put on the gospel armor, each piece put on with prayer, Where duty calls or danger, be never wanting there.
Stand up, stand up for Jesus! the strife will not be long; This day the noise of battle, the next the victor s song;
To those that vanquish evil a crown of life shall be; They with the King of glory shall reign eternally.

Spirit of God, descend upon my heart; wean it from earth; through all its pulses move;
stoop to my weakness, mighty as thou art, and make me love thee as I ought to love.
I ask no dream, no prophet ecstasies, no sudden rending of the veil of clay,
no angel visitant, no opening skies; but take the dimness of my soul away.
Has thou not bid me love thee, God and King? All, all thine own, soul, heart and strength and mind.
I see thy cross; there teach my heart to cling. O let me seek thee, and O let me find.
Teach me to feel that thou art always nigh; teach me the struggles of the soul to bear.
To check the rising doubt, the rebel sigh, teach me the patience of unanswered prayer.
Teach me to love thee as thine angels love, one holy passion filling all my frame;
the kindling of the heavendescended Dove, my heart an altar, and thy love the flame.
THANK GOD FOR THAT!
