Aloha Secretary / Treasurer ORDER OF THE EASTERN STAR HAWAII CHAPTER NO.1 Aloha Sisters and Brothers, With the fall behind us, I am full of gratitude & thanksgiving. SCOTTISH RITE Greeting Brothers, What is Scottish Rite? Although there is no higher degree than that of Master Mason, the 29 degrees of the Scottish Rite serve to enrich the philosophy of the Symbolic Lodge. A Mason who chooses to further his Masonic experience by becoming a 32 Scottish Rite Mason will be expanding upon the fundamental principles of Freemasonry. The moral and ethical lessons will allow him to be constantly reminded of his duty to God, Family, Country, and his Fellow Man. As your Venerable Master I am committed doing whatever I can to revitalize Hilo Scottish Rite. So if you have any ideas as to how we can best accomplish this, please do not hesitate to bring them to my attention. Aloha and Merry Christmas and Happy New Year Venerable Master From the Secretaries Table Aloha, Brethren, Please don't miss our November AASR meeting this Saturday, 10 A.M. Nov 23, at Kona Masonic Temple. The Rite will treat lunch for all (no host bar). See you there! Also since our regular Stated Meeting in December would fall on the 26 th (the day after Christmas) a dispensation has been approved to cancel it. Our next Stated Meeting will be on January 30, 2014.
