Jenny Sung Elected New Pastor at St. Andrew s By an overwhelming vote on Feb. 10, the congregation of St. Andrew s called Jenny Sung as Pastor of Mission and Outreach. For more than a year she has served as Intern Pastor at St. Andrew s, and she helped launch The Depot Church in Hugo with Pastor Brian Norsman. Jenny graduated from Luther Seminary with a Masters of Divinity with an emphasis on mission and church history. Her passion for people and mission came through her experiences of being abandoned and delivered. At the age of 2 Jenny was abandoned on a bus in Seoul, Korea. She was transferred to an orphanage and then foster care before being adopted into the United States. Jenny is passionate about sharing with others the love of God that she has encountered. My story is not about being abandoned, forgotten, or left behind. It is a story of God s deliverance, grace, and love. In her spare time, Jenny enjoys going on outdoor adventures with her husband, Carl Torgerson and their dog Leo. Carl serves as the Worship Leader at The Depot Church. Jenny also the founder and co-director of One Dance Company in St. Paul. Jenny s Rite of Ordination and Installation service will be Sunday, Feb. 24, at 1 p.m. in the Sanctuary. She will be installed later that day during worship service at 5:15 p.m. at The Depot Church at Oneka Elementary in Hugo. Diversity Team Thursdays, March 14, April 11, May 9; 6:45-8 p.m. Great Hall If God has placed it on your heart to help St. Andrew s reflect the diversity of the Kingdom of God, then join us. Be part of a team working to create educational and relational opportunities as well as systems that strive to address the ways that racism, sexism, ableism, classism, ageism and other forms of injustice limit participation, exclude and harm people, communities and the whole body of Christ. For more information please contact Deacon/ Intern Pastor Erin Morris at emorris@saintandrews.org or 651.762.9135. Conversations on Diversity Thursdays, Feb. 21, March 21, April 18, May 16; 6-8 p.m. Great Hall Join Glocal as we host the Community Dinner featuring a different ethnic cuisine each time. During dinner hear their stories through music and then stay after dinner for conversation with others about how you experience the beautiful diversity of the Kingdom of God. Childcare is available. 2 Worship at The Depot Church Sundays 5:15 p.m. Evening worship services are held in Hugo at 5:15 p.m. at Oneka Elementary (4888 Heritage Parkway N., Hugo). The Depot Church is a community of St. Andrew s dedicated to gathering and building Christian community in the Hugo area.
