If you have a prayer request, call June Hovland (288-7579) or Gail Sim (289-2087) who will activate the chain. Anyone interested in becoming a part of this prayer ministry, please contact June or Gail. These cards will be collected by one of the pastors during the offering time. UGANDA NEED We have learned that the Lutheran Church in Kampala, where the Gillard s worship, must move their tent structure to a new spot. Land has been located at a cost of $13,000 -- which is a huge amount for that humble congregation. Any that might be moved to help them with a special gift may remit it through Redeemer with the designation Kampala Congregation. BAPTIZED on Saturday during the 5:30 pm service is Waylon Glenn Holleman, son of Travis Holleman and Kayla Hoppe, born November 22, 2010. His sponsors are Justin Holleman and Tanya Hoppe. The topics to be presented are: February 27 - "Exercise for a Healthy Life", by Dr. Carmen Terzic, Mayo Clinic Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation Consultant March 6 - "Women's Health: Promoting Your Good Health Across Life Transitions", by Dr. Lynne Shuster, Consultant in General Internal Medicine & Director of the Women's Health Clinic, Mayo Clinic March 13 - "Stroke: Risk Factors, Warning Signs, Evaluation and Treatment", by Dr. Robert Brown, mayo Clinic Neurology Consultant THE MYSTERIOUS HOLY SPIRIT The class is looking at what the Scriptures tell us about the third person of the Holy Trinity, who is often overlooked. We will look at gifts of the Spirit, their use and abuse. Led by Pastor Jim in the South Fellowship Hall. JOSHUA (continuing) Joshua has often been called a type of Christ figure, and even his Hebrew name is the same name as the one we call Jesus. This Old Testament book of the Bible contains the redemption story of what took place after the Exodus, Joshua leading God s people into war, the Battle of Jericho, and finally arriving in the Promised Land. Led by Pastor Rance in the Choir Room. CHRISTCARE 10TH ANNIVERSARY will be Sunday, March 20. Some of the highlights are: T-shirts, please sign up for yours on the pad in the narthex. Pizza will be provided for lunch following the late service. Highlights of the last 10 years will be reviewed. All will have a chance to get a taste of ChristCare in the mini-sessions.
