NHCRC Announcements Continue to remember in prayer: Mel Veurink had surgery this past week in Rochester to remove the lower lobe of his right lung, which had cancer. The surgery went well, yet Mel has a lot of pain. Harley Van Horssen continues to receive comfort care at the Platte Care Center. This morning we have the privilege to celebrate the Lord s Supper. Everyone who is a professing member in good standing in a Christian church is welcome to participate. The inside ring of cups contains grape juice; the two outside rows contain wine. When the elements are passed, please wait so that we can all partake at the same time. What will happen just before and during the resurrection at the end of human history? In the afternoon we will continue our series on end times as we look at 1 Corinthians 15:51-52. Next Sunday (February 24): Would you tell a new Christian to become a member of a church? Why? In the morning we will continue our series in 1 Corinthians, 12:12-20; and we will look at Lord s Day21. What does the Bible tell us about the rapture? In the afternoon we will continue our series on end times as we look at 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17. Looking ahead to upcoming special services and events: February 28, Thursday evening elder & deacon training March 3, Sunday noon fellowship meal, no Sunday School March 13, Wednesday evening prayer service Life groups starting up this spring! Groups will be a time of fellowship and spiritual strengthening among others within the congregation. More information will be given during the March 3rd worship services. On March 3, after the morning service, the deacons will be at the exits to collect a special offering for the bell monument. The current $7000 on hand will not cover the cost of the project. The concert will feature selections by a chorus from Delmont, Tripp, Verdigre NE and our own Dakota Jubilee. The evening will finish with several numbers performed by a mass chorus. Please make plans to attend and enjoy the beautiful harmonies. The Harrison youth group is looking for additional leaders to help out. Join in presenting an Easter cantata on Easter evening in Corsica. We will begin practicing Sunday, Feb. 24, at 5 p.m. at Corsica CRC, with rehearsals each Sunday until Easter.
