THERE IS NO ROOT IN A HEART OF STONE Published by Sowing the Word of God August 12, 2017 John 1:1, 12-14 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, AND THE WORD WAS GOD. 12 But AS MANY AS RECEIVED HIM, TO THEM HE GAVE THE RIGHT TO BECOME CHILDREN OF GOD, TO THOSE WHO BELIEVE IN HIS NAME: WHO WERE BORN, NOT OF BLOOD, NOR OF THE WILL OF THE FLESH, NOR OF THE WILL OF MAN, BUT OF GOD. AND THE WORD BECAME FLESH and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of THE ONLY BEGOTTEN OF THE FATHER, full of grace and truth. THE NATIONS FOR YOUR INHERITANCE, And the ends of the earth for Your possession.'" Luke 8:11 Now the parable is this: THE SEED IS THE WORD OF GOD." Genesis 22:15-18 Then the Angel of the Lord called to Abraham a second time out of heaven, and said: By Myself I have sworn, says the Lord, because you have done this thing, and have not withheld your son, your only son blessing I will bless you, and multiplying I will multiply your descendants as the stars of the heaven and as the sand which is on the seashore; and your descendants shall possess the gate of their enemies. IN YOUR SEED ALL THE NATIONS OF THE EARTH SHALL BE BLESSED, because you have obeyed My voice. Galatians 3:16 Now to Abraham and HIS SEED were the promises made. He does not say, And to seeds, as of many, BUT AS OF ONE, AND TO YOUR SEED, WHO IS MESSIAH. "Behold, A Sower Went Out To Sow..." Luke 8:11 Now the parable is this: THE SEED IS THE WORD OF GOD." Matthew 13:5-6, 20-21 SOME FELL ON STONY PLACES, where they did not have much earth; and they immediately sprang up because they had no depth of earth. But when the sun was up they were scorched, and BECAUSE THEY HAD NO ROOT THEY WITHERED AWAY. 20 But HE WHO RECEIVED THE SEED ON STONY PLACES, this is he who hears the word and immediately receives it with joy; YET HE HAS NO ROOT IN HIMSELF, BUT ENDURES ONLY FOR A WHILE. For when tribulation or persecution arises BECAUSE OF THE WORD, IMMEDIATELY HE STUMBLES. Stony hearts have no Root in them... Revelation 22:16 I, YEHOSHUA (Jesus), have sent My messenger TO TESTIFY TO YOU THESE THINGS IN THE CHURCHES. I AM THE ROOT and the Offspring of David, the Bright and Morning Star. Romans 11:16-18 For if the firstfruit is holy, the lump is also holy; and IF THE ROOT IS HOLY, SO ARE THE BRANCHES. And if some of the branches were broken off, and you, being a wild olive tree, were grafted in among them, and with them BECAME A PARTAKER OF THE ROOT and fatness of the olive tree, do not boast against the branches. But if you do boast, REMEMBER THAT YOU DO NOT SUPPORT THE ROOT, BUT THE ROOT SUPPORTS YOU. 2
Jeremiah 31:33-34 But this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the Lord : I WILL PUT MY LAW IN THEIR MINDS, AND WRITE IT ON THEIR HEARTS; AND I WILL BE THEIR GOD, AND THEY SHALL BE MY PEOPLE. NO MORE SHALL EVERY MAN TEACH HIS NEIGHBOR, AND EVERY MAN HIS BROTHER, SAYING, KNOW THE LORD, FOR THEY ALL SHALL KNOW ME, from the least of them to the greatest of them, says the Lord. God s people will have His Torah (His Law) written in their minds and in their hearts, but how will the Torah of Elohim (Law of God) be written in our hearts? By the Spirit of Yehoshua Messiah. II Corinthians 3:2-3 YOU ARE OUR EPISTLE WRITTEN IN OUR HEARTS, known and read by all men; CLEARLY YOU ARE AN EPISTLE OF MESSIAH, ministered by us, WRITTEN NOT WITH INK BUT BY THE SPIRIT OF THE LIVING GOD, NOT ON TABLETS OF STONE BUT ON TABLETS OF FLESH, THAT IS, OF THE HEART. Ezekiel 36:26-27 I WILL GIVE YOU A NEW HEART AND PUT A NEW SPIRIT within you; I WILL TAKE THE HEART OF STONE OUT OF YOUR FLESH and give you a heart of flesh. I WILL PUT MY SPIRIT WITHIN YOU AND CAUSE YOU TO WALK IN MY STATUTES, AND YOU WILL KEEP MY JUDGMENTS AND DO THEM. Then you shall dwell in the land that I gave to your fathers; YOU SHALL BE MY PEOPLE, AND I WILL BE YOUR GOD. And I will be their God, and they shall be My people Romans 8:9 But you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, IF indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. NOW IF ANYONE DOES NOT HAVE THE SPIRIT OF MESSIAH, HE IS NOT HIS. Galatians 3:29 And IF you are Messiah's, then you are Abraham s seed, and heirs ACCORDING TO THE PROMISE. "IN YOUR SEED all the nations of the earth shall be blessed. IN YEHOSHUA MESSIAH all the nations of the earth shall be blessed. "YOU ARE MY SON... I WILL GIVE YOU THE NATIONS FOR AN INHERITANCE." IF YOU ARE MESSIAH'S, then you are Abraham s SEED, and HEIRS ACCORDING TO THE PROMISE. Luke 8:11 Now the parable is this: THE SEED IS THE WORD OF GOD." Matthew 13:23 3
"BUT HE WHO RECEIVED SEED on the good ground is HE WHO HEARS THE WORD AND UNDERSTANDS IT, who indeed bears fruit and produces: some a hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty. But he who received Yehoshua Messiah in a good heart is he who hears the Word of God and understands it, because the Root and offspring of David bears them, and makes known to the branches of His disciples the will of the Father that they may produce His fruit and glorify Him. John 15:1-8 I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser. Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit. YOU ARE ALREADY CLEAN BECAUSE OF THE WORD WHICH I HAVE SPOKEN TO YOU. ABIDE IN ME, AND I IN YOU. AS THE BRANCH CANNOT BEAR FRUIT OF ITSELF, UNLESS IT ABIDES IN THE VINE, NEITHER CAN YOU, UNLESS YOU ABIDE IN ME. I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; FOR WITHOUT ME YOU CAN DO NOTHING. IF ANYONE DOES NOT ABIDE IN ME, HE IS CAST OUT AS A BRANCH AND IS WITHERED; and they gather them and throw them into the fire, and they are burned. If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you. BY THIS MY FATHER IS GLORIFIED, THAT YOU BEAR MUCH FRUIT; SO YOU WILL BE MY DISCIPLES. If we do not first abide in Yehoshua Messiah we will wither away, just like a seed that falls on stony ground who has no root in it. It is the Root that gives the water of God s Word to His branches. Ephesians 5:23-27 For the husband is head of the wife, AS ALSO MESSIAH IS HEAD OF THE CHURCH; AND HE IS THE SAVIOR OF THE BODY. Therefore, just as THE CHURCH IS SUBJECT TO MESSIAH, so let the wives be to their own husbands in everything. Husbands, love your wives, just as Messiah also loved the church and gave Himself for her, THAT HE MIGHT SANCTIFY AND CLEANSE HER WITH THE WASHING OF WATER BY THE WORD, that He might present her to Himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that she should be holy and without blemish. The Father, who is Spirit, has sent His Messenger, the Spirit of Yehoshua Messiah, to teach us His Word; a Word that a heart of stone is unable to receive. John 5:38-47 "BUT YOU DO NOT HAVE HIS WORD ABIDING IN YOU, BECAUSE WHOM HE SENT, HIM YOU DO NOT BELIEVE. You search the Scriptures, for in them you think you have eternal life; and THESE ARE THEY WHICH TESTIFY OF ME. BUT YOU ARE NOT WILLING TO COME TO ME THAT YOU MAY HAVE LIFE. I do not receive honor from men. But I know you, that you do not have the love of God in you. I HAVE COME IN MY FATHER S NAME, AND YOU DO NOT RECEIVE ME; if another comes in his own name, him you will receive. How can you believe, who receive honor from 4
one another, and do not seek the honor that comes from the only God? Do not think that I shall accuse you to the Father; there is one who accuses you Moses, in whom you trust. For if you believed Moses, you would believe Me; FOR HE WROTE ABOUT ME. But if you do not believe his writings, how will you believe My words? John 14:2-6 "In My Father s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I GO TO PREPARE A PLACE FOR YOU. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also. And where I go you know, and THE WAY YOU KNOW. Thomas said to Him, Lord, we do not know where You are going, and how can we know the way? Yehoshua said to him, I AM THE WAY, the truth, and the life. NO ONE COMES TO THE FATHER EXCEPT THROUGH ME." For the Father said: Exodus 23:20-21 Behold, I SEND A MESSENGER TO KEEP YOU IN THE WAY AND TO BRING YOU INTO THE PLACE WHICH I HAVE PREPARED. Beware of Him AND OBEY HIS VOICE; do not provoke Him, for He will not pardon your transgressions; FOR MY NAME IS IN HIM." "My Name is in Him." In Hebrew, Yehoshua means "Yah (Yahovah) Saves." The Father sent His Messenger, the Spirit of our Messiah, to keep us in the Way of Life, and to bring us to the place He has prepared for us. Is Yehoshua Messiah your Teacher? Are you abiding in Him? Are you obeying His voice? Can you hear Him, O church? Revelation 22:16 I, YEHOSHUA HAVE SENT MY MESSENGER TO TESTIFY TO YOU THESE THINGS IN THE CHURCHES. I AM THE ROOT and the Offspring of David, the Bright and Morning Star. John 14:26 But the Helper, THE HOLY SPIRIT, WHOM THE FATHER WILL SEND IN MY NAME, HE WILL TEACH YOU ALL THINGS, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you. Revelation 2:7, 11, 17, 29 7 HE WHO HAS AN EAR, LET HIM HEAR WHAT THE SPIRIT SAYS TO THE CHURCHES. To him who overcomes I will give to eat from the tree of life, which is in the midst of the Paradise of God. 11 HE WHO HAS AN EAR, LET HIM HEAR WHAT THE SPIRIT SAYS TO THE CHURCHES. He who overcomes shall not be hurt by the second death. 5
17 HE WHO HAS AN EAR, LET HIM HEAR WHAT THE SPIRIT SAYS TO THE CHURCHES. To him who overcomes I will give some of the hidden manna to eat. And I will give him a white stone, and on the stone a new name written which no one knows except him who receives it. 29 HE WHO HAS AN EAR, LET HIM HEAR WHAT THE SPIRIT SAYS TO THE CHURCHES. 6
