A Letter from Diane Anderson Dear Sisters and Brothers of Village Church, I was deeply moved by the lovely blessing and the beautiful communion set I received during worship on June 15th. Thank you! I also want to thank you for the privilege of serving as your Interim Minister of Pastoral Care for these last 13 months. It was a joy and an honor to be involved with our community of faith in this way. As you know, I have formally been released from my duties as Interim Minister. This means that the pastoral care needs of our church are now the responsibility of Associate Pastor Liz Garrigan- Byerly. I will continue to take part in our life together as a member of the church, but I have set down the pastoral duties and relationships I had with the congregation in my former role. This is appropriate and necessary as we honor the ending of one ministry and the beginning of another by directing to Liz the kinds of needs and concerns you have directed to me for the last 13 months. I also want to share the good news that I have accepted a position at Pilgrim Church in Sherborn. I will be serving as the Senior High Youth Group leader and will help with worship leadership from time to time. Wishing you Summer blessings. With love and gratitude, Diane Anderson

Providing hospitality today are members from the Church Council. Please take a moment to thank them. A Conversation with Liz Garrigan-Byerly about Her Journey of Faith Sunday, June 29, 11:30 am, Burtt Chapel After 10 o'clock worship next Sunday, our Associate Pastor Liz Garrigan-Byerly will share her story of faith and life as a way of helping us get to know her better. Do come and join Liz in Burtt Chapel. A Gift to Our Church Family from the Meisenhelder-Heyn Family For this the 10th Anniversary of our daughter's entrance into heaven, we have created a special booklet: Messages from Melissa: 10 Lessons for a Joyful Life. Melissa Bell Meisenhelder illustrated the best way to spend each day filled with joy, no matter what the circumstances. We are sharing these precious nuggets of insight with you, because as Melissa said Sharing is the BEST! Please take a booklet found in baskets in both the Village Common and Central Street Lobbies. Enjoy!

BULLETIN NOTES Independence Day Church Office closed The Church Office will be closed all day on Friday, July 4. Visits with Liz Garrigan-Byerly One of a new pastor s primary jobs and joys is getting to know her congregation. Summer, with fewer meetings and events, is a great time to get together. Visiting times have been set up throughout July and August so that Liz can get to know you! There is a link in the enews to sign up for time slots or you can find a paper version on a clipboard at Fellowship Hour. Thank you! Cereal Sunday, July 6 Just one box of cereal per Village Church family per month and we ll fill the Wellesley Food Pantry cereal shelves for a year! Food may be dropped off anytime in the designated box in the Cloister and in the basket at the Village Common entrance. Writing Checks Although we affectionately call ourselves Village Church, we are still legally known as Wellesley Congregational Church. Our bank accounts are in our legal name and while the local bank knows us well, Fidelity prefers the checks we deposit be in our legal name. When you are writing a check to the church for whatever reason, please make it payable to our legal name: Wellesley Congregational Church. Thank you! Summer Vacations Audra Teague Mackey will be on vacation from June 30th-July 28th.
