COMING UP Sun., Aug. 20 Undy Sunday We will be focusing on underwear donations for the PREP event. All sizes for school-aged children are needed. Fri., Aug. 25 Family-Friendly Happy Hour 5:00 pm You are invited to join Pastor Vicki and co-host Dean Corbin for beverages and grilled finger foods, along with good conversation. Bring the whole family, including the kids. Sat., Aug. 26 PREP Event 1:00 pm Homer Congregational Church is coordinating and hosting the Back to School P.R.E.P. Event (Providing Resources and Essentials in

Preparation for school) on August 26 from 1 3 pm, on the Green. The PREP event is designed to help families as they prepare their children for school. Free haircuts, sneakers, underwear and socks, toothbrushes, and other hygiene items will be available. To ensure fair distribution of items, school-age children must be present with an adult. Free ice cream and children's games will also be available. ANNOUNCEMENTS: Rally Weekend is coming! Join us on Saturday, September 9 for a special Church Family Picnic at Little York. Beginning at 3 PM we ll gather for some games, conversation and fun. For dinner, bring a dish to share. CEM will provide meat and beverages (bring a cup along). Bring your lawn chair, and we ll gather around a campfire for singing and s mores and vespers before we re done at about 7 PM. Join us again on Sunday, September 10. At 9:30, young and old will join in the kick-off of our many options for faith formation. We ll be in the Russell Fellowship Hall for an opening, followed by our age-appropriate options for kids who are infants to ninety-nine. There will be something for everyone! Stay on for the return to our 10:30 AM worship service. Be sure to bring the kids backpacks for a special blessing. God is with us! Come on and celebrate!
