Please register in advance for the class and Baptism. Godparent Pre-Requisites: Godparents must be practicing Catholics in good standing, 16 years of age or older, Baptized and Confirmed Catholic. Page 2 READINGS FOR SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 17, 2019 SIXTH SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME First Reading: Jeremiah 17:5-8 Second Reading: 1 Corinthians 15:12, 16-20 Gospel: Luke 6:17, 20-26 FOCUS: Lord. Blessed is the one who trusts in the Faith in the power of the Resurrection gives way to a righteous and fruitful life eternal. Trusting in the Lord, and striving to live the beatitudes in our everyday lives, yields much fruit. LITURGY OF THE WORD: In the first reading, trusting in the Lord brings a refreshing life of abundance. Saint Paul, in the second reading, says that Christ s resurrection brings life to all who believe. In the Gospel, Jesus teaches the beatitudes. Robert Lauder in collaboration with The Office of Faith Formation will present the Catholic Novel series for the Spring of 2019. The series will begin on Monday, March 11 th at 7:30 p.m. at the Immaculate Conception Center in Douglaston. The cost of the series is $40. Friday Night Film Festival - Fr.
