Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church As a parish of the Catholic Diocese of Charleston, Our Lady of Grace seeks to know and share God s Word, live as a community of Christian disciples, devoutly celebrate the Holy and other sacraments, provide a prayerful environment for all people, and serve the poor and those in need in Christ s Name. In this way of life, Our Lady of Grace Parish looks to Mary of Nazareth as its model and patron. Our Wonderful Soup Kitchen Team! The Most Rev. Robert E. Happy Sunday, Team Grace! From Father Kirby This weekend, we con8nue our walk through Saint Luke s Gospel. Last weekend, we saw the Lord on the shores of the Lake of Gennesaret. Today, the Lord is s8ll in the Capernaum area, but he takes on the posture of a teacher. And so, the Gospel reading this weekend is Luke s version of the Bea8tudes. It s a modified version of the one given by Saint MaHhew, but it s8ll contains the heart of the Lord s moral teachings. In our discipleship, are we seeking to know the Lord s way of love? Are we laboring to die to ourselves and live according to the teachings of our Lord? Please note that this Monday our Parish Office will be closed in honor of Presidents Day. Also, we will not have Confessions or public at the parish on Monday. This Wednesday, February 20, we ll have our next round of Town Hall mee8ngs. Our Town Hall mee8ngs are essen8al gatherings for our community since they provide us with an opportunity to ask ques8ons and discuss the future. It s my strong request that every parishioner please make every effort to a7end one of these sessions. Please note that our evening session at 7 PM will have a nursery provided. Next weekend, I ll be away at the Ninth Annual Mercy Conference in Weslaco, Texas. I made a personal commitment to these types of events when we received the relic of Saint Faus8na. While I m away, we ll have guest priests covering the es. Please be sure to give them our usual warm Team Grace welcome! Simply because I m away doesn t mean the work of Team Grace stops! Quite the opposite, next weekend, we have a lot of ac8vi8es happening at the parish! Please note the Personal Products and Toiletries collec8on. Please bring a bag of toothpaste, toothbrushes, soap, shampoos, etc., to next week. All of these products will be given to the local children s home and correc8onal facility. Also, next weekend awer all our es, we ll have our second annual Ministry Fair. All of our ministries, outreaches, and parish groups will be represented in the Parish Hall. Doughnuts and snacks will also be provided. Please plan on stopping by awer next weekend! More updates next week. Let s pray for one another!
