NEWS Friends and Family at First United Methodist Church Gastonia, As we continue our journey into this wonderful season of Lent, I encourage you to spend some time thinking about how God has blessed both First United Methodist Church in Bessemer City and Gastonia. He is doing great things and I am grateful! I hope you all have taken time during this Lenten Season and considered giving up something that means a lot to you. I do it because Jesus sacrificed so much for us and while my small sacrifice is nothing compared to what Jesus experienced, it does remind me of his love each day! April will be an exciting month and If you get the chance to come over one Sunday or participate in some of the happenings during Holy Week, you will be welcomed by a super group of people in Bessemer City! Sunday, March 26th, we had one of two invitation Sundays during 2017. I hope you will join me in prayer over the next 9 months as we work hard to grow our programs, congregation and just show how thankful we are for First United Methodist in Gastonia and for what God is doing for this community.
