Welcome, this autumn day, as we rejoice together in God's goodness! Large print bulletins are available and children s bulletins are available on the table in the Narthex. A nursery is available for infants up to 5 years of age.

Those who are able are invited to stand. PRELUDE Sonata No. 2 in F Shieko Uno - pianist & Don Perkins - cellist LIFE OF THE CONGREGATION Moment of silence to prepare your hearts for worship Vivaldi SONG OF DEVOTION (hymnal & screen) (please remain seated) #138 Holy Ground LET US WORSHIP GOD TOGETHER CALL TO WORSHIP Leader: The Lord reigns, let the nations tremble; He sits enthroned between the cherubim, let the earth shake. People: Great is the Lord in Zion; He is exalted over all the nations. Let them praise Your great and awesome Name He is Holy. Leader: Exalt the Lord our God and worship at His footstool; He is Holy. People: Exalt the Lord our God and worship at His Holy Mountain, for the Lord our God is Holy. INVOCATION Leader: Holy God, clear our hearts and minds from all distraction and worldly concerns. Allow us to fully enter into Your presence so that we can worship You in spirit and truth and honor Your Name. Drive the evil one from our lives and guard us from all his schemes. In Jesus name we pray. Amen SONGS OF PRAISE (screen) #184 Thy Word Speak O Lord CALL TO CONFESSION (Psalm 52:1-7) Leader: Why do you boast of evil, you mighty hero? Why do you boast all day long, you who are a disgrace in the eyes of God? You who practice deceit, your tongue plots destruction; it is like a sharpened razor. You love evil rather than good, falsehood rather than speaking the truth. You love every harmful word, you deceitful tongue! Surely God will bring you down to everlasting ruin: He will snatch you up and pluck you from your tent; He will

uproot you from the land of the living. The righteous will see and fear; they will laugh at you, saying, Here now is the man who did not make God his stronghold but trusted in his great wealth and grew strong by destroying others! Let us confess and repent of our sins so that we might make God our stronghold and savior. Let us confess our sin to God in silent prayer. SILENT PRAYER PRAYER OF CONFESSION Unison: Almighty God, we confess that we have failed to honor You with our lives and have not followed Your Word. Lord teach us to speak Your truth in love to our neighbors and family. Let our Spirit rise up in us and guide us to Your truth. In Jesus name we pray. Amen. ASSURANCE OF PARDON (Psalm 52:8-9) Leader: But I am like an olive tree flourishing in the house of God; I trust in God s unfailing love for ever and ever. For what You have done I will always praise You in the presence of Your faithful people. And I will hope in Your Name, for Your Name is good. Sisters and brothers in Christ believe the good news: you are forgiven through faith in Jesus Christ. AFFIRMATION OF FAITH The Apostles Creed Unison: I believe in God the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth, and in Jesus Christ His only Son our Lord; who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried; He descended into hell; the third day He rose again from the dead; He ascended into heaven, and sitteth on the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence He shall come to judge the quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy Ghost; the holy catholic Church; the communion of saints; the forgiveness of sins; the resurrection of the body; and the life everlasting. Amen. GLORIA PATRI
