CONSECRATION TO MARY, OUR BLESSED MOTHER Over 100 years ago God sent our Blessed Mother to three young children in the small village of Fatima, Portugal. The message of the visions they received speak, as Pope Benedict XVI wrote, of dangers and how we might be saved from them. Through three requests made at Fatima, Mary directed that we are to repent, to change our lives and to make sacrifice for the sins of the world. This was a vital message for that time and has continued through to our present time, when the need for repentance, conversion, prayer, healing and world peace has never been greater in our troubled world. We faithfully live out the requests of our Blessed Mother when we: 1). Pray the Rosary daily for world peace, 2). Make the 5 First Saturday Devotions, 3). Consecrate ourselves, individually, to her Immaculate Heart. We invite you to make your own consecration to the Immaculate Heart of Mary and to join in this powerful opportunity to grow spiritually, to draw closer in love to God and your neighbor. Parishioners, both women and men, who have previously made their Consecration, will be invited to sign in also, to renew their Consecration at the same time as those who are making their Act of Consecration for the first time. In extraordinary times, God provides special Graces. Now is that time! Our Blessed Mother said "Yes," to the will of God for her life 2000 years ago. Please join her in making your Yes and honoring God's request to us at Fatima. May God bless you richly in the Sacred Heart of Jesus and through the intercession of the Immaculate Heart of Mary. Please sign up to make your Consecration to Blessed Virgin Mary. Sign up will be after every Mass this weekend and the week of February 16, 17. Books are free. You do this at home. Instructions will be given after Masses in the Social Hall. Please contact Bobbie Price (314)308-8112.

FEBRUARY 10, 2019 From today s Gospel reading: Peter said to Jesus, "Master we have worked hard all night and have caught nothing, but at your command I will lower the nets. Reflection: Like Peter we have things that concern us and keep our minds preoccupied during the night. We can use some help to keep us focused and to guide our decisions. In the midst of all that occupies us we want to continue hearing Jesus invitation to follow him. We especially want to do that as we toil through the sometimes, very dark periods of our lives. So, we ask ourselves: -What areas of my life consume my energies and concern me the most? -Have I considered how Jesus is inviting me to follow him in those very places?
