MASS OF REMEMBRANCE On Wednesday, November 14th at 7:00PM there will be a special Mass of Remembrance for the repose of the souls of those who have died throughout this past year and prayers for their loved ones who grieve their loss. Their names will be called aloud and they will be remembered at this special Mass. All are invited to attend. CONFIRMATION MEETING A meeting to be attended by parents and students who will be receiving Confirmation will be held on Friday, November 16th, at 7:00PM in the church hall. SOCIAL CONCERNS MINISTRY HOLIDAY HELP The Holidays are fast approaching and while many of us look forward to this time of year it can be yet another cross for the less fortunate. The Social Concerns Ministry is taking the names of those in need of a Thanksgiving or Christmas Meal. Also, the committee wants to reach out to families with children who would not otherwise receive a present at Christmas. If you, or a neighbor or friend is in need this year, please contact the Pastor or our Pastoral Associate, Lori Raymond. All information provided will be kept in strict confidence. Sometimes the people who are most in need live on the same street or are in the same family as we are. Social Concerns will be accepting Supermarket Gift Cards during November. You can drop them off at the rectory or place them in the Sunday basket if you are able to help. Any amount will be accepted. We will also have the Christmas Giving Tree this year with an opportunity to help those in need. 'Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison, and did not help you?' Mat 25:44 LECTOR WORKBOOKS The 2013 Lector Workbooks are ready for all lectors to pick-up in the server sacristy. If yours is not there, please call Lori at the office. WORD OF LIFE BULLETIN BRIEF It s important for our own integrity and the integrity of our country that we stand up today against these and other attacks on our religious freedom. History affords many examples, both before and since America s founding, where restraints on religious liberty presaged the denial of other human rights. By standing up for religious liberty now, we can begin to renew the soul of America and strengthen our nations s commitment to all the rights and freedoms we enjoy as children of God. In so doing, we may also discover in our own lives what it means to be fully human. Most Rev. Charles J. Chaput, O.F.M., Cap., Archbishop of Philadelphia Page 2
