Rod & Gaye Kyle and Family Preaching Christ and his kingdom (Acts 8:12) down under through public preaching, one-on-one evangelism, training workshops, soul winning tool development,n.z. campaigns for Christ, the Don Browne Book Fund and the printed page. HULLO FROM THE SOUTH PACIFIC! Our greetings to all of our wonderful supporting brethren. We hope that you all have been blessed as much as us since our last report. And if you don t have the time to drop us a line, to tell us of your blessings, that s o.k. We will catch-up with you in person, shortly. In the meantime, enjoy this report and be assured that we have you in our prayers, as you have us in yours I Thess.1:2. WINDING UP OUR NEW PLYMOUTH WORK: We have been busy trying to sell our old house over the past 4 months. So far the offers have been too low. But we are still confident that a genuine Buyer is getting closer. It hasn t helped that the N.Z. housing market has been at an all time low, with property values dropping back in the provinces. So while we wait, Gaye is winding up her work with Taranaki Health, and her teaching in the Ladies Class, and I am winding up my studies with non-christians, transferring the N.Z. Bible Shop into the hands of brethren here, moving the DBBF books and my library into storage and a host of other moving things. Including selling old furniture, bikes, etc.,. Isn t it amazing what you accumulate when you stay in one place for a long time! LOCAL WORK STILL BEARING FRUIT: Since our last report, the New Plymouth church has hosted the annual Bible Lectureship (290 attended) for the N.Z. brotherhood, and on the 24 th April, Soko Niko obeyed the gospel. Soko is a mother of two and works as a Teacher at New Plymouth Girls High School. I have been studying the gospel with her and her husband for a while now. Keep her in your prayers as she grows in the grace and knowledge of Christ. I have studies with two other souls on going, and they will be past across to the local brethren when we finally move. As I am needed, I help out in the New Plymouth work, but our emphasis is definitely else where now. The N.P. work is in good heart and going forward with optimism. WORK AROUND N.Z.: The Key-Note Speaker for the Lectureship this year was Kevin Caine, who operates out of Katy, Texas. He did a marvellous work with the lectureship and then went with me to help the Wellington brethren with a midweek meeting before his return home. The meetings in Wellington numbered around 20 per session, which was disappointing, given Kevin s topics and ability. But the weather was stormy and only on the final day I was in Wellington did I get out and knock doors with Kevin Moore in the new work of Porirua. We gained one study appointment and 3 promising callback Contacts. On the 8 th May we attended the opening worship time for the Porirua church of Christ. About 80 brethren attended from 5 congregations around the lower North Island. Kevin has just finished a 2 week campaign with FHU students. They have had several visitors from the community to attend and have more studies underway as a result. There are Truth Seekers out there. We just have to go and search for them! I have also been preaching and working with the Foxton church of Christ. We have between 12-20 in the Lords day assemblies. All of my

been taken from the book of Proverbs. This Lords day I am preaching on The Cross of Christ. I will also be preaching at Palmerston North. One of the regular preachers there, Nathan Paki, is working in Brisbane, Australia for 3 months. So it s good to be able to help out these brethren. After worship and Bible Class I have the privilege of doing P.W. with my youngest daughter, Alicia. We have been studying for a number of weeks now. Hopefully, this will lead her to either be restored or to be converted. Please keep praying for her. On each of these trips south from New Plymouth, I carry a van load of things to put in storage in anticipation of our final move. So weekends are very busy times for me travelling, preaching, teaching, moving things and selling a house.. CHRISTCHURCH WORK: On the 17 th and 29 th May we visited the Christchurch brethren and encouraged them with a message from Gods Word. I updated you on their progress in my last report. The city is still being rocked by earthquakes. Buildings and homes are badly damaged, but the spirit of the brethren is undiminished. They want to keep on worshiping God in spirit and truth and stay in the sound words. But they desperately need a missionary family to join them in that work. I suspect, the mission field in Christchurch, will be one of the most open in N.Z. at present. In times of trouble, more look up to God! If you know of any good Man and his family, who is looking to be used in a fruitful mission work, please contact me immediately. SOLOMON ISLAND WORK: This now needs to be a separate section in my report. I am investing time in it and back ground work is continuing. I have sent out more copies of the Searching for Truth DVD to the Islands, received more supplies from WVBS for this work, dialogued with Randy English (who visits there 3 times a year) and have wanted to plan and execute my next visit there (for which I have Grant St., go ahead). Selling the house and getting moved might cause me to delay this trip until early next year. I sincerely hope not. Many precious souls are waiting to hear and obey the gospel in that island archipelago. So your prayers for this work are again requested. THE NEXT CAMPAIGN FOR CHRIST: As you know from past campaigns, I only conduct 2 week door knocking campaigns when I know the follow-up will be properly conducted and the Workers efficiently hosted. The Lanceston church of Christ, in Tasmania, Australia, have asked me to take a campaign group there, for such an effort. They have a fulltime Worker in that work, a building to work from and local brethren able to host and cater to 8 workers. So mark March 10 th -26 th March, 2012 down in your calenders. Can you come to make this effort the success it deserves to be? Information sheets will be out next week. Send me an e-mail and I ll send off the relevant forms straight away. REPORTING BACK TIME IS DRAWING NEAR: This is an event I approach with mixed feelings. It takes me away from the work in the field. It is expensive. It is emotionally and physically exhausting. But it is so uplifting to see you again. To talk about the Lords work. To pray and worship the Lord with you. To be encouraged and to give encouragement, and then to return to the mission field with renewed determination to serve the Master with even more zeal because of who you are, the sacrifices you have made to support our work and the blessings the Lord has poured into our lives through your faith! However. This trip, will definitely be Gayes last trip. Her failing health should rule her out of any future visits. But you can always come and visit us in the field! I promise to put you to work while here! So expect an e-mail from me in the next week or two. If you don t think I have your e-mail address, send it to me at rodandgayekyle@xtra.co.nz asa. Oh. We are still looking for suitable transport. If you can help, call me on 064-6-753-5681. A HUGE THANKYOU TO ALL WHO SUPPORTED JARED THROUGH SCHOOL: Jared, our oldest boy, graduated from The Bear Valley Bible Institute on Saturday 21 st May Summa Cum laude. He got engaged the same day to Rachel Donnelly of Crossville, Tennessee. They will be married Sat.27 th August. They will return to N.Z. in December. Jared is doing an internship with the Lewisburg church until his return. So thank you from the heart, to all who made his Schooling possible. He now has a knowledge of Gods Word that he will carry with him for life. He will be a wonderful asset to the Lords church down-under. All who have helped him, have made a sound investment in heaven in my extremely biased opinion! Thank you!!!

FAMILY NEWS: As we will be talking with you in a few months, this family section will be brief. Gaye is still living positively inspite of losing her work ability. Her employment will be terminated this week. But she boxes on helping to teach Ladies Class, doing a little baking now and then and praying for everyone. Our oldest boy, Andrew has had an improvement in health. His last diagnosis was incorrect. He still doesn t know what illness he has but it is being managed with medications. He has just been promoted in his Brisbane job with an accompanying pay rise of 40%! He intends using this windfall to witness his brother getting married. Emma graduated from Otago Law School on Sat. 14 th May with two degrees (BA, LLB), and celebrated by taking her old Dad on a 4 day hike through the Southern Alps. She is now applying for Law jobs and will be admitted to the N.Z. Legal Profession in a few weeks time. Alicia, our last child, has begun studying the gospel with her Dad. We are looking at the need to have a heart based faith (Rom.6:17) and this weekend we begin a study on Why believe in God? Please pray for her restoration or conversion. Inspite of all that is going on, I made time for that hike through the Southern Alps with Em. It took 4 days and was the greatest walk I have ever done. The natural beauty we beheld was breath taking. In fact, on the last day of walking down a valley surrounded by 6,800 high mountains and hundreds of waterfalls, we begun calling it the Fly catching walk. Our mouths were open all the time. We continue to do what we can to help grow the kingdom of Christ down-under. We are hopeful that the switch from local work, and several miscellaneous mission tasks, will lead to more souls being won into the future, than we have in our past work. Especially, when, our hoped for, involvement in the Solomon Island work, fully materializes. Thank you so very much for your trust and support of us. Let s keep on striving to grow the church of Christ together to His glory (Eph.3:21). In His Service and wishing you all spiritual blessings in Him, Rod (and Gaye) Kyle.
