Amplification Headsets So that all may enjoy the worship service, sound amplification headsets are available from the ushers for those who need assistance with hearing. Who Does God Call Us to Be? We are a vibrant, warm and welcoming community of faith. Those who worship here come from a diverse range of backgrounds and would describe themselves in a rich variety of ways. We acknowledge our doubt, our struggles, and that we are all quite human and imperfect and that we are each at a unique place on our faith journey. We find our unity, our common identity, in Jesus Christ and together we seek to joyfully worship God and energetically minister to the needs of the world on God s behalf. We gather in anticipation of being transformed by the power, purpose and presence of God among us, and go forth equipped to love God and neighbor more deeply and more wholeheartedly. We believe that faithful leadership of a church requires being open to new possibilities, taking risks and learning from mistakes as we try again. Honoring the past, we are convinced that God calls us to a new future. ~The Opening Paragraph of Vision 2017 of the Presbyterian Church in Basking Ridge

Thank you from Mission Council! Lend a hand at the "Giving Gardens" at Ross Farm (135 North Maple Avenue) Several churches have partnered with The Friends of the Boudinot-Southard-Ross Estate and the Somerset County Parks Commission to grow fresh produce for families in need, donating to the Somerset County Food Bank and God s Co-Op Food Pantry. Last year, volunteers delivered 1000 lbs. of fresh vegetables, fruits and herbs, and the partners hope to donate one ton this year! You do not need to be a skilled gardener to join in, and parents can include kids and teens. To come and enjoy fresh air and sunshine, and loads of fellowship, please contact Jan Williams (rjwillia16@gmail.com) to be added to notifications of garden work sessions beginning in mid -May. Learn more about Ross Farm via the Garden link on the website www.rossfarm.org. God s Co-Op Pantry HELP WANTED: "work from home opportunity" A volunteer is greatly needed to support the work of God's Co-op Pantry in the area of Grant Writing and Fund Development. Interested to learn more? Please contact Janet Bentley 908-766-1616 x 18 for more information. Mission Mission Focus for May BRPC mission council began a partnership with Restore Ministries Inc in 2015. This organization operates within Second Presbyterian Church in Elizabeth and their mission is to nurture urban youth who are at risk of dropping out of school. Through after-school clubs and cultural and arts programs as well as a summer outreach they hope to help each student develop their full potential through education so they become responsible and contributing members of society. Linwood Bagby is the Executive Director and we have enjoyed learning more about their work throughout the year. Our mission dollars help Restore Ministries to run their summer camp programs to allow these at risk youth to remain focused and connected to positive influences during the summer months. Please visit - www.restorekids.org for more information.
