est. 863 1 MESSAGE FROM THE PASTOR Dear Friends St Teresa s Cemetery and Mausoleum is rooted in history and tradition. As a ministry of our parish, it fosters understanding and belief about the value of life, the promise of resurrection and for more than 100 years has offered ministerial service that helps loved ones and families make a journey through grief and bereavement. Our cemetery and mausoleum is a place for prayer, reflection, remembering and healing. We welcome and encourage frequent visiting by family and friends as a real sign that for those who believe, life is changed, not ended. Because we are grateful for all those who have gone before us, we must look to and plan for the future with prudence. We have a responsibility to ensure that our parish cemetery and mausoleum are viable, not only generating sufficient revenue to operate and maintain themselves, but also reading the signs of the times to take advantage of any potential for growth that will successfully secure our future. Over the next weeks, you will be hearing more about St Teresa Cemetery and Mausoleum. I hope you will join me in supporting this important ministry with a lively faith, so that our faithful departed may always Rest In Peace, in our loving care. Blessings! -Fr Bob What is the Perpetual Care Fund? PLEASE EMAIL NICK LEEPER nickl@stteresaavila.org FOR MORE INFORMATION PARISH Events Parish Ministries ministry of the week: Faith and Life Society Protect Viable Babies Postcard Campaign Launches this weekend! This weekend our parish will ask our parishioners to sign three postcards to our three Representatives (our one NJ State Senator and two Assembly Members) to ask them to support the "Pain Capable Unborn Child Protection Act" (A-1686/S-537) which would protect babies in the womb at 20- weeks (5- months) and beyond. Babies at this stage can feel excruciating pain. Seventeen states have already passed this bill. Many babies in the womb at 20- weeks could live outside the womb if given proper medical care. This program will raise awareness among our fellow citizens about the humanity of the baby in the womb and to show women and men that healing is possible and resources are available. Postcards are located in the Information Center in the Church and in Memorial Hall. Please sign and write your name and address on three postcards and drop in the basket.
