Number Description - 2016 1 School Supply Drive- Help to gather supplies that are brought to the church, separate supplies per grade, and help to deliver supplies to schools. 2 Thanksgiving Dinner- There are many different jobs connected with this Thanksgiving Day Ministry. These include the following: Director, greeters, food warmers, food servers, food deliverers, set-up crew, clean-up crew, and decorations. 3 Muffins to Next Step Day Room- Provide 24 homemade or store bought muffins (without nuts) Monday or Tuesday morning between 8:00AM-10:00AM to the Next Step Day Room. They have it set up so that you can call and they will send someone down to get them from you. 4 Sack Lunch Program Work in scheduled rotation basis to make sandwiches and sack lunches at the Next Step Day Room as part of the homeless ecumenical outreach to the community. 5 Last Sunday Breakfast This breakfast is sponsored by the Chapel Class and other church members. Help is needed to make coffee and greet and visit with our guests from the neighborhood. 6 Guatemala Medical Mission Trip A team of doctors, dentists, nurses and assistants spend one week servicing rural Guatemala in areas of medicine and dental care. 7 Food at First People are needed to take food orders on Sunday mornings from 8:30AM-11:00AM and help distribute food on Saturday from 8:30AM- 10:00AM in the Family Life Center. 8 Red Shield Diner Members provide, prepare, and/or serve food for the Salvation Army one Sunday evening each. 9 Knitters, Knotters & Mats that Matter Knit or crochet prayer shawls, scarves for the homeless, and crochet sleep mats out of recyclable plastic bags for adults and children. To learn to knit and crochet, lessons are taught 10:00AM Thursday mornings in the Narthex. 10 Cookies of care (bake/deliver) This ministry lets our Firefighters, Police Officers, and EMTs know that they are appreciated. Once a we bake cookies and deliver them to local units. We need bakers, delivery people, and people to put the bags of cookies together. 11 Newsletter/Mailings Special mail helpers affix labels to newsletters, insert flyers, and prepare special mailings for bulk mail. 12 Bible Study Leader Adult volunteers are needed to plan, prepare, and lead these important studies. This includes Wednesday Night Life. 13 Welcome Desk visitors and members with directions and information. 8:15AM - 9:30AM Sunday morning. How Often 1 trip per week or work at home

Clinic volunteers as well as Hostesses are needed 8:30AM- 10:00AM 21 Cancer Support Group Help to raise money and plan for the night of Relay for Life. Items are sold at the FSFUMC tent the night of the event. 22 Hospital Flowers Deliver Sunday's Altar flowers on Monday morning to our members in the hospital. 23 Bus/Van Driver Pacesetters (2 times a ), and Sunday mornings. Drivers do not need a special license to drive the 15 passenger church van, but must leave a copy of their current license in the church office. 24 Archives Church archivists keep history and membership records up-to-date. 25 Study Help maintain and organize FSFUMC Study area to best support Christian formation and education. 26 Decorating Committee This group decorates the altars for Thanksgiving, and the Sanctuary, Roebuck Chapel, Narthex and the Fireside Room at Christmas. On occasions church committees will call on this group to assist with a particular area of the church. 27 United Methodist Women United Methodist Women meet, fellowship, serve, share meals, pray, sing and study. Many leadership positions are available within this organization. 28 United Methodist Men United Methodist Men meet, fellowship, share meals and study the Bible. 29 Connexion Praise Team Serve on praise team for the 11:00AM Contemporary Worship Service in an instrumental or vocal position or as a substitute. 30 Chancel Choir The choir leads music for the congregation during the 11:00AM Sanctuary worship service each Sunday. The choir also presents special programs and worship services during the. Choir practice is Wednesday night at 7:00PM. 31 Ladybells Ladybells (Handbells) serve as worship leaders approximately once a. A love of music, fellowship, and worship is all that is needed. Music reading ability is helpful, but not required. Ladybells practice on Wednesday mornings at 10:00AM 32 Solo Singers/Instrumentalists Provide vocal or instrumental solo occasionally for the 8:30AM worship service in Roebuck Chapel. 33 Children's Choir Helper There are many different people needed to serve in the children's music department. These include (Wednesday) choir leaders, pianists, recreation helper (weekly- Choir I - 4:00PM-5:00PM and Choir II - 4:00PM-5:30PM), Sunday morning assistants, and special events assistant (as needed). 34 Children's Choir Van Driver Serve as a driver for the church van for pick up from schools for Children's Choir on Wednesday afternoons (2:15PM-3:15PM). 35 Children's Music Camp Helper Helpers with music camp do many different things including serving lunch, telling stories, watching the playground, costuming, teaching songs and dances, drawing backdrops, painting, and applying makeup. Music Camp is one week (Monday thru Friday) in the summer. 36 Adult Handbells Adult Handbells (currently not meeting) would love volunteer leaders! Handbell ringers serve as worship leaders. They enjoy the opportunity for fun and fellowship with other Christians who love music. The ability to read music is helpful but not required. 37 Altar Guild Working in pairs on a rotation basis, Altar Guild members prepare the chancels in Roebuck Chapel and the main sanctuary for worship each week. Some of the duties include cleaning and dusting, changing paraments, replacing candles as needed, also directing weddings, etc. 38 Communion Prep Prepare communion elements for Holy Communion services each, each Wednesday, and at special times during the Christian. 39 Communion Server- 8:30AM Roebuck Help serve Holy Communion during the first Sunday of each. 40 Communion Server- 11:00AM Connexion Help serve Holy Communion during the first Sunday of each. 41 Communion Server- 11:00AM Sanctuary Help serve Holy Communion during the first Sunday of each. 42 Lay Reader Lay readers usually read one or more scripture lessons during the worship service, either 8:30AM or 11:00AM. practice Occasionally and/or as needed according to what you sign up for
