CONFESSION AND FORGIVENESS L: We confess our sins before God and one another. Pause for silence and reflection. L: Patient God, C: You have taught us all we need to be your faithful people. And yet we persist in going our own way, doing our own thing, and minding our own business when we ought to be about the business of your kingdom. Forgive our selfish neglect of others and bring us back into wholeness with our brothers and sisters. Amen.
L: God is merciful, patient, kind and forgiving. We have been pardoned for all that we have done, and all that we have overlooked. May we give now as we have received: generously and extravagantly, in the way of our loving teacher, savior and Lord. Amen.

THE LORD S PRAYER OUR FATHER, WHO ART IN HEAVEN, HALLOWED BE THY NAME, THY KINGDOM COME, THY WILL BE DONE, ON EARTH AS IT IS IN HEAVEN. GIVE US THIS DAY OUR DAILY BREAD; AND FORGIVE US OUR TRESPASSES, AS WE FORGIVE THOSE WHO TRESPASS AGAINST US; AND LEAD US NOT INTO TEMPTATION, BUT DELIVER US FROM EVIL. FOR THINE IS THE KINGDOM, AND THE POWER, AND THE GLORY, FOREVER AND EVER. AMEN.
INVITATION TO COMMUNION P: We are salt; we are light. We were made to proclaim the glory of our Lord in all we do. Let us gather now to be fed on his body and blood, nurtured by his blessing, and strengthened by his promise. Come to the feast!

POST-COMMUNION BLESSING P: The body and blood of our Lord Jesus Christ strengthen you and keep you in his grace. C: Amen. POST-COMMUNION PRAYER P: It is only through Your grace, O Lord, that we are able to approach Your table, C: and it is only through Your Son s mercy that we are forgiven. Empower us to share that same grace and mercy with all of creation. Amen.
READING MATTHEW 5:1-20 When Jesus saw the crowds, he went up the mountain; and after he sat down, his disciples came to him. Then he began to speak, and taught them, saying: Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted. Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth. Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled. Blessed are the merciful, for they will receive mercy. Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.
Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God. Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are you when people revile you and persecute you and utter all kinds of evil against you falsely on my account. Rejoice and be glad, for your reward is great in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you. You are the salt of the earth; but if salt has lost its taste, how can its saltiness be restored? It is no longer good for anything, but is thrown out and trampled underfoot.
You are the light of the world. A city built on a hill cannot be hid. No one after lighting a lamp puts it under the bushel basket, but on the lampstand, and it gives light to all in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father in heaven. Do not think that I have come to abolish the law or the prophets; I have come not to abolish but to fulfill. For truly I tell you, until heaven and earth pass away, not one letter, not one stroke of a letter, will pass from the law until all is accomplished.
Therefore, whoever breaks one of the least of these commandments, and teaches others to do the same, will be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever does them and teaches them will be called great in the kingdom of heaven. For I tell you, unless your righteousness exceeds that of the scribes and Pharisees, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. L: THE WORD OF THE LORD. C: THANKS BE TO GOD.

My Lighthouse In my wrestling and in my doubts, in my failures You won't walk out Your great love will lead me through
You are the peace in my troubled sea, whoa oh You are the peace in my troubled sea.
In the silence You won't let go In the questions Your truth will hold Your great love will lead me through
You are the peace in my troubled sea, whoa oh You are the peace in my troubled sea.
My Lighthouse, my Lighthouse Shining in the darkness, I will follow you, oh My Lighthouse, my Lighthouse
I will trust the promise You will carry me Safe to shore... Safe to shore... Safe to shore... Safe to shore.
I won't fear what tomorrow brings With each morning I'll rise and sing My God's love will lead me through
You are the peace in my troubled sea, whoa oh You are the peace in my troubled sea.
My Lighthouse, my Lighthouse Shining in the darkness, I will follow you, oh My Lighthouse, my Lighthouse
I will trust the promise You will carry me Safe to shore... Safe to shore... Safe to shore... Safe to shore. CCLI Song # 7002032 2013 Thankyou Music For use solely with the SongSelect Terms of Use. All rights reserved. www.ccli.com CCLI License # 1724248

RPG All The People Said Amen
You are not alone if you are lonely When you feel afraid you're not the only We are all the same in need of mercy
To be forgiven and be free It's all you got to lean on But thank God it's all you need
And all the people said amen whoa And all the people said amen
Give thanks to the Lord for His love never ends And all the people said amen
If you're rich or poor well it don't matter Weak or strong you know love is what we're after We're all broken but we're all in this together
God knows we stumble and fall And He so loved the world He sent His son to save us all
And all the people said amen whoa And all the people said amen
Give thanks to the Lord for His love never ends And all the people said amen
Blessed are the poor in spirit who are torn apart Blessed are the persecuted and the pure in heart
