Scripture: Sermonic Notes Topic: Words of Wisdom The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: because the spirit of the LORD bloweth upon it: surely the people is grass. The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand for ever. Isaiah 40:7-8 Words From The Pastor My Brothers and Sisters, Grace, mercy, and peace be unto you from God our Father and Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. As the church and pastor celebrate another anniversary, we realize how good and faithful God has been to us. He has sustained and blessed us. He has given us peace, joy, and hope. We must stop and give Him thanks, praise, and honor. God s word has been the foundation of this church. His word is the bread and the source of our joy. By it we live and breathe and have our being. We depend upon God s promises, for His word is immutable. It never changes. God s word is just as powerful today as it was centuries ago. Continue to trust in His Word. As God was a cloud by day and fire by night to the children of Israel, He is a lamp unto our feet and a light to our path. God s word assures us that He is Jehovah Jireh, our provider, He is Jehovah Shalom, our peace and Jehovah Shammah, His presence is always with us. As we read God s word, the Bible - Basic Instruction Before Leaving Earth - may the Holy Spirit continue to be our teacher. May we continue to stand on God s word. God wants us to help build His kingdom. Since the last anniversary, how many people have you lead to the Lord? May His love always shine through us. With a Shepherd s Love Pastor Warren E. Amlet
