Day of Prayer for Sanctity of Life On Saturday, May 12, 2018 from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm St. Columbkille Parish in conjunction with the CWL of Canada will hold a day of prayer to plea for protection of the unborn child, for an increase of palliative care as an option to euthanasia for the terminally ill, for an increase of help for the mentally ill and for an increase in support for those in the medical profession who, in conscience, do not wish to take part in abortions or euthanasia. In this day the blessed Sacrament will be exposed for 12 hours and we ask that Our Lord NOT be left alone. Please plan to spend at least ONE hour of your God given day with the blessed Sacrament to pray for sanctity of life in the world. Sign up sheets are available at the doors of the Church this weekend. Roses For Life Roses will be on sale at the doors of the Church on May 12 / 13 in support of the unborn child and The Orillia Pregnancy Resource Centre. Roses are $3.00 each. Spring Tea The St. Columbkille Spring tea will be held on Saturday, June 9 at 12:30 pm in the parish hall. Tickets are available at the doors of the Church. The price is $15.00 per person. Society of Sharing-Living the Gospel The Society of Sharing provides volunteer services to isolated seniors and adults with physical disabilities in the inner city of Toronto, extending their ability to live independently in the community through sustained home visiting, escorts to medical appointments, telephone support and socialization groups. The Parish Outreach to Seniors Program - funded by your ShareLife donations, is making a significant impact in the lives of our parishioners in Orillia, Washago, Ramara, Warminster and everywhere in between. Here's what one volunteer told me this week..."it's a joy! I love going to visit with her. It may sound selfish, but I leave there feeling so good! It's what she does for me...i laugh more, I'm happier, and I feel better all round."
