A place for faith and fellowship with family and friends. Rev. Mike Winters Pastor Ben Harding Music Director Dr. Ray Jones, Jr. Pastor Emeritus WISE BAPTIST NEWS A PUBLICATION FOR MEMBERS AND FRIENDS OF WISE BAPTIST CHURCH Dear Church Family and Friends, Fairness. We expect we demand that life be fair. That is what New Orleans Saints football fans expected. On Sunday, January 20, the New Orleans Saints lost the National Football Conference Championship game to the Los Angeles Rams. A Los Angeles player clearly interfered with a New Orleans receiver, but the referee did not call it. It was a bad call. It was unfair. It probably cost the Saints the opportunity to go to the Super Bowl. The referee was wrong. The referee was a judge who affected the outcome of the game. Consider another kind of judge. The Bible says there will be a time of judgment for all. Matt. 25:31-32 says, When the Son of Man comes he will sit on His throne All the nations will be gathered before Him and He will separate the sheep and the goats. After Jesus returns, everyone who has ever been born will be gathered before His throne. The sheep (who know Him personally) go to be with God forever in heaven. The goats (who do not know Him personally), are forever separated from God. One day, all of us will stand before Jesus on His throne. Our eternal destinies will be clarified. Jesus will make the right call. He will have all the facts. His decision will be final. It is never too late to turn to God. It is never too late to draw closer to God. What we do about Jesus, what we do with Him matters for eternity. MUSIC * Youth * Children News WBC Youth Ministry Greetings!! When life gives you lemons, you make lemonade, right?? The simple meaning of this phrase teaches us that we can always make good out of something that we perceive as bad. Instead of focusing on the negative things that we encounter, let us deliberately choose to remain focused on the positive that we experience. It doesn't mean that we'll never experience a bad thing again, but it does give us a chance to show the world and God that we have faith that we will be delivered from life's storms. If you're thinking about joining us for Choir or Truth rehearsal, it is never too late. Choir will meet right after church on Sunday and Truth will meet at 4pm due to this Sunday being the Super Bowl. I hope to see you there!! God bless you all!! Don t miss out on the fun, fellowship & opportunity to grow in your faith! The Flock meets each Sunday evening at the Youth Building ( Flock Nest )! Souper Bowl Sunday!
