Laudetur Iesus Christus! Christmas cards, cookies, and treats. To all of you the parishioners of St. Josaphat - I would like to say thank you. Thank you for the Christmas cards with your kind words of appreciation for my efforts in serving you as your priest; even with my limitations. Thank you for the cookies, breads, candies, and other treats which you have so generously given to me personally and for the rectory house to share. I truly have enjoyed a taste of various cultures and traditions over the past few weeks. Now it is time to go on a diet! Generally I try to stay away from carbohydrates and stick to a clean eating plan. Honestly, I have not been too good at keeping to my diet since my transfer and once Christmas cookies where placed before me; I happily went weak! Thankfully, I don t feel totally guilty because we also received some wonderful fruit so, it all balances out in the end; maybe. ; ) Some of you have received thank you cards from me and I hope this letter reaches those of you I have not been able to write personally. When I was in the College Seminary the Vice Rector told us to always keep a box of thank you cards on our desk and never forget to show your gratitude towards the people of your parish who truly love their parish priest.
