WE EXTEND OUR CHRISTIAN SYMPATHY and the glorious hope of the resurrection to Phil and Cheryl Lemke and family, at the death of Phil s brother, David, and also at the death of his uncle. We pray that God would comfort this family with the comfort we have in the victory that is ours in Christ. One way is through our Ministry of the Week. This week s highlighted ministry is Lutheran Hospital Ministries. Through Lutheran Hospital Ministries of Southern Alberta, trained visitors give support to Lutheran patients in Calgary hospitals and care centres through compassionate listening, prayer and Scripture. Visitors are always needed, and regular training is scheduled. Thanks be to God for the 40 years of work caring for others in their times of need! OUR YOUTH BIBLE STUDY is meeting again in the Youth Room at 9am with a video series on creation filmed at the lifesized ark replica in Kentucky. Topics for the rest of the school year include prayer, the Means of Grace, and marriage and family. Let the leaders know if there s anything you d like to study! OUR THANKS TO ALL who lent a hand, provided billets, brought baking or assisted with transportation for the Western Region Mission and Ministry Conference, which was held here this past Friday and Saturday. Please bring the Empties to the lower back door area of the church and place them on the utility trailer there. We'll run the Drive during the next two Sundays, Jan. 26. and Feb. 3, and the next two Wednesday
