Kurt Lambart (734) 560-9001 klambart@outlook.com Church: sjlcrogerscity@gmail.com School: sjlsrogerscity@gmail.com Divine Service Setting 3 (p. 184) January 19/20 We cordially welcome all who are worshiping with us this week. May our Lord Jesus Christ grant you the will and the wisdom to renounce the world and to live as His follower and disciple. VISITORS you are invited to share your names and addresses in our Guest Book in the entryway of the church. COMMUNION POLICY As an expression of our faith and fellowship as the Missouri Synod Lutherans we welcome to the Sacrament those baptized Christians who: confess and repent of their sins; believe in the Triune God, and in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior; believe that they receive Christ s true Body and Blood with the Bread and Wine for forgiveness of sins, new life and salvation; promise to change their sinful life with the help of the Holy Spirit. Oneness at the altar requires oneness in doctrine, faith, and life (Acts 2:42). Therefore, Let each person examine himself, and thus eat of the bread and drink of the cup (1 Corinthians 11:28) Visitors and Guests - please speak with the Pastor or a Deacon before the worship service. Visitors and Members - please fill out a communion registration card found next to the hymnals. Please hand it to an usher or place it in the offering plate. Visitors please write your names and addresses in our Guest Book in the entry way of the church. Parents we encourage you to bring your children up with you during the communion celebration for a pastoral blessing. Remember Jesus words: Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these (Mark 10:14).

Hearts for the Hungry, Homeless, and Hurting NOLA 4H - $100,000 Mission Grant: New Orleans has the third highest homeless rate in the nation with 1,700 homeless persons every night, much of this is due to the Hurricane Katrina and the loss of homes. Six inner-city LCMS churches and their pastors, leaders, and members have come together to serve Christ by serving their neighbors and providing food and shelter. The NOLA 4H churches work closely with other organizations to support various outreach ministries. This mission grant will enable NOLA 4H to equip each of the fellowship halls in the six churches to serve more people. THE PEACE PROJECT HYGIENE PANTRY will be open again on January 21 from 9:30-11:00am and 5:30-7:00pm. In the event of a snow day (local schools are cancelled), the pantry will be rescheduled for Monday of the following week at same times. Items that will be available: shampoo, soap, toothpaste, toothbrushes, deodorant, toilet paper, laundry & dish soaps. No pre-registration or proof of income is needed.
