YARD SALE FEBRUARY 2, 2019 The Fundraising Team is working on the 2019 Summer Reserve Fund already and needs your help. No, no, put away your checkbooks. There will be a HUGE Yard Sale on Saturday, February 2, 2019 from 8am to 12pm. All proceeds will go to the Summer Reserve Fund. Not only do we need you to go through your attic, closets, garage and shed for items to donate, but we need your help in a big way to get things organized!! The sale has been broken down into specific areas which need an in charge person who will recruit volunteers to help collect, set up, organize and price items. Please volunteer your time and knowledge to make this a success. And, of course, we need other volunteers to help them. Areas that are in need of a charge person are: 1. ADULT CLOTHING 2. COSTUME JEWELRY 3. SMALL APPLIANCES (NO COMPUTER PRINTERS OR TV'S) 4. TOOLS 5. SPORTING GOODS AND EXERCISE EQUIPMENT 6. TOYS, GAMES, AND PUZZLES AND CHILDREN'S CLOTHING 7. BAKED GOODS 8. FURNITURE 9. BOOKS AND DVD S We know that First Church has some excellent bakers, so even if you work on another area, your baked goods will be much appreciated by both the organizers and patrons of our sale. The sale will be indoors in the Fellowship Hall and Sunday School rooms. Large items such as furniture may be outdoors (weather permitting). On Friday, February 1st, we will price and organize for display all items so on the 2nd we can just roll out the large ones (yes, furniture, sports and exercise equipment will be accepted). To be successful this event will require much volunteer activity and team work-and what is a TEAM but ordinary people working together to do extraordinary things-exactly what FUMC has shown it excels at. So please help us make this the BEST YARD SALE ever, by volunteering! Let's start the mercury SHOOTING UP ON OUR THERMOMETER for the 2019 Summer Reserve Fund. And remember, those items you donate (especially clothing) should be gently used, and that you yourself would buy. Thank you and God bless, Fundraising Team
